I’ve been meaning to write this for a while, mainly because I never got to say goodbye to Jim and her husband (Nope). I hope I spelled both of your names right; if not, I’m so sorry 🙏🏻
Right back to the review, this place, like many places in Thailand, got me to see the beauty in people by opening up my heart and eyes.
On any day, you could walk past dozens of cafes, nicely tucked away within the beauty of Chiang Dao, and you wouldn’t be blamed for that, seeing how much beauty there is surrounding this utterly beautiful part of Thailand.
As soon as I settled in, Jim's infectious energy welcomed me, and she whipped up a delightful Thai coffee. We ended up chatting for a while, and what began as a simple coffee date transformed into me eagerly volunteering to support the local monks bright and early the next morning.
My heart melted as I joined them in the morning, witnessing the genuine care, love, and support Jim and her husband shower upon their community. This trip to Chiang Dao became truly unforgettable, thanks to the warmth and generosity that surrounded me.
Thank you both for opening your hearts and space to me, for your kindness that has ignited a newfound love and compassion within me. You've inspired me to bring the warmth of Northern Thailand to the heart of London. I'm deeply grateful, and I hope to return one day to create more beautiful memories with both of you.
You will both stay forever in my heart.

We were looking for a café nearby to try their local coffee. It wasn't our first choice as there is not much Google review so we went to another café. LUCKILY, the cafe we planned to go to was closed and we found our way to this cafe ❤️ It was worth it!
The vibe of the place is sooo authentic. If you order coffee, you'll see there are some bees in the counter. It's because they are selling honey.❤️ The bees are not harmful at all. They also have their cute coffee machine. They have seating outside. The place is peaceful and chill.
The coffee was really affordable. We ordered 2 lattes. You can taste that coffee notes really well. Good beans. It can be a little strong for those who are not coffee drinkers. They provide sugar.
The owners and the cat are so friendly 😸 And the husband put up an umbrella so I can take photos. The cat cooperated as well.
Worth the visit if you happen to be around Chiang Dao...
Read moreHomey cafe run by a very friendly Thai family. I have a good time chatting with the owners, enjoying coffee, and meeting with locals. You should come here for a real Thai local experience.
They also offered me snacks, fruits and even a very special dinner for free. I am amazed by their friendliness. Thank you so much for dropping me off at the bus station, too. I will visit Chiang Dao again.
