This small and simple cafe, run by sweet couple, offers one of the best coffee in the area with reasonable price. They have simple menu but most of the things we had tried were all delicious. We love the quiet and calm atmosphere here with lots of green all around.
The first day, we tried black coffee and was just great (on the strong side) and egg latte was well crafted as well. The egg, sausage and bread breakfast set was decent, worth the money, compared to those highly priced by other restaurants nearby.
The second day we went back there for breakfast again, we had stir-fried pork basil with fried egg over rice, (a typical Thai breakfast or lunch local people generally eat here), we really enjoyed it.
On both days of our visit here, the owners were so kind to us and they offered complimentary papaya, cut and decorated like a lobster. ☺️
What we love about this place is that the people are very kind and pleasant. We enjoy a chat with them about their life there and about their coffee.
I personally asked Chai (the owner) about his latte art and I love how he shared with me that he didn’t really plan his latte art before making it. He usually creates the art according to what he sees and feels about each customers.
This is one of our favorite places to grab a good cup of coffee and simple breakfast in the area near the cave. Pop in to experience...
Read moreAmazing owner! He grows, roasts and makes his very own coffee! You can feel his passion to what he's doing in every cup of his coffee. I had an egg coffee with cutely finished art latte. (amazing with a bit of sugar) ;) Nonetheless, a shot of espresso was a real mind blower! Despite my passion to coffee, I've never tried such well made and roasted coffee.
The genuine fruity explosion with just a mild scent of sourness in the middle of sip was one of the most unique experience in my whole "coffee life". Definitely a must try for every coffee lover! Going to Chiang Dao just for Chai's coffee is an argument strong enough, trust me ;)
Ps: he's very knowledgeable and kind, open to share the coffee...
Read moreOur favourite cafe in the whole of our trip across Thailand! The coffee is out of this world. Chai, the owner, takes the coffee from seed to cup (!) - grows it, roasts it, grinds it, brews it. This makes for a fantastic coffee (try every style!). Also lovely juices, breakfasts and lunches. It's a delightful place to sit - really relaxed, surrounded by nature. Chai and his family are wonderful - chatty, kind, and really interesting to talk to. Make sure you try out their Japanese shoes! Coming here is a real must if you are...
