Fernpresso Café in Chiang Mai is a hidden gem that has been steadily growing in popularity among locals and tourists alike. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the café is not only aesthetically pleasing but offers an array of delicious treats. Among its many offerings, the chocolate ice cream is an experience unto itself—one that can be described as nothing short of indulgent and memorable.

Upon entering Fernpresso, you are immediately greeted by a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The design of the café combines modern elements with nature, creating a sense of calm that makes you feel like you've stepped into a tranquil oasis. The outdoor seating area, in particular, provides a scenic view of the nearby river and greenery, enhancing the overall experience of enjoying a sweet treat in the heart of nature. It’s the perfect setting to indulge in something as special as their chocolate ice cream.

While Fernpresso’s menu boasts a wide variety of dishes and desserts, their chocolate ice cream truly stands out. It’s not just an item on the menu, but a luxurious experience from the first taste. Made from high-quality ingredients, the ice cream has a smooth, velvety texture that melts effortlessly on your tongue. It's rich but not overwhelming, striking a perfect balance between sweet and bitter that pleases your palate with every spoonful. The chocolate flavor is deep and intense, clearly made from premium cocoa, which immediately sets it apart from the standard café fare.

What makes the chocolate ice cream even more delightful is its presentation. Served in an elegant cup or bowl, depending on your choice, it arrives at your table with a small garnish of chocolate shavings or a drizzle of chocolate syrup, making it look as good as it tastes. This attention to detail reflects the café’s commitment to providing a memorable dining experience. Each bite feels like a mini celebration of indulgence, and the care that goes into crafting such a simple yet powerful dessert is evident.

The ice cream has a decadent creaminess that makes it a standout choice for anyone with a sweet tooth. It’s clear that Fernpresso places emphasis on quality over quantity, and this is especially true in their approach to chocolate ice cream. The richness of the cocoa is perfectly complemented by the creamy base, ensuring that every spoonful is an explosion of flavor. It’s not too sweet, and the bitter undertones of the chocolate offer a depth that you seldom find in more commercial versions of the dessert.

Moreover, the chocolate ice cream at Fernpresso is versatile. It pairs beautifully with a range of accompaniments. Some patrons enjoy it alongside a hot espresso, which creates a delightful contrast between the bitterness of the coffee and the sweetness of the ice cream. Others might opt for a fresh waffle or a slice of cake to go with their scoop, enhancing the experience further. No matter how you choose to enjoy it, the chocolate ice cream remains the star of the show, holding its own even among the café’s other delicious offerings.

What’s particularly impressive about Fernpresso is how they manage to elevate the simple act of eating ice cream into something that feels like a luxury. It’s not just about satisfying a craving for something sweet—it’s about savoring the moment, appreciating the flavors, and enjoying the ambiance. The café provides the perfect backdrop for such an experience, and their chocolate ice cream is the crown jewel of their dessert menu.

Another notable aspect of Fernpresso is the attention and care the staff provides. They are attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that every customer feels comfortable and taken care of. Whether you’re there for a quick dessert stop or spending an afternoon working or reading, the service is impeccable. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to make recommendations adds to the overall positive experience, and you can tell that they take pride in their work.

In conclusion, Fernpresso Café in Chiang Mai is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in...

First for the good part: The grounds are beautiful and really nice to wander in. There is a variety of indoor and outdoor seating available (though the ones closest to the building may be full there are even more on the grounds). There's a mister outside for cooling. Lots of good places to get photos for Instagram. The drinks we ordered were good (iced latte and mocha frappe of some sort I forgot the name). If you need a place to unwind in nature with a drink this is a great spot for it. And now the bad part: The service we received here was a bad experience and I doubt we'll return. As soon as we got in the entrance, staff was urging us we needed to order something... but we asked where to order and they walked away. Finally we made our way through to the counter and stood by the counter for a long time but no one took our order. Twice staff asked to be sure we were going to order something...but they wouldn't help take our order or otherwise assist. It took like 20min to actually order. So all the staff are super anxious that you NEED to buy something but no one wants to let you order so it's almost impossible to actually buy it.🤣 It was very weird. I've never worked so hard to order a coffee. 🤷‍♀️ I fully believe everyone is trying their best but there is definitely an issue...

Here is a draft coffee shop review based on your feedback:

Disappointing Experience at Local Coffee Shop

I recently visited a popular local coffee shop for my usual afternoon espresso. When I ordered, I politely asked the barista to please rinse the espresso cup with hot water first, as I prefer a piping hot cup. However, the barista seemed to have an attitude and did not follow my simple request.

The espresso itself was decent, but served in a lukewarm cup which detracted from the overall experience. I think this coffee shop needs to focus more on the basics, like serving drinks at the proper temperature, and listening to their customers' reasonable requests.

With so many great coffee options in the area, I likely won't be returning to this particular shop. I'd recommend they work on their customer service and attention to detail to provide a better experience for their patrons. A little hot water in the cup...

The food is great, beautiful, good portions, a few options that can be vegan. Usually I sit in the garden but today I sat in the glass a/c room to read for a while as it’s raining. I literally cannot believe how loud, rude and ridiculous the staff is in the kitchen, which is unfortunately right off of this room, ironically with a sign on the door that says QUIET ZONE. It’s great if the staff has fun at work, but they are literally screaming, shouting, talking rudely and so many times I heard someone with huge sneezes SO LOUD they definitely didn’t cover their mouth or wear a mask even when sick and cooking for others. That really grossed me out. Myself and the few other Thai people in the room looked at each other in disbelief a few times so it wasn’t just me. Please think about customer experience and take hygiene more seriously.
