Went here with family and couldn't have been happier. The owner lived and worked in California so his sushi has a "California-ness" to it but the presentation and portion sizes were of good quality. I was told the wasabi here was the real thing and not the cheap horseradish version. Unfortunately I'm not refined enough to tell the difference. We had a toddler with us and as there were no other customers they put some toddler videos on to entertain the little one while we all enjoyed the meal. The pizza sushi was interesting, the crunchy sushi roll, the California roll was also good and the softshell crab roll was excellent. The Donburi was only so so but was more than made up for by the green tea ice cream. The ice cream was really refreshing and tasted very natural and not too sweet while still tasting great.

Finally had the opportunity to visit! Very cozy and peaceful little place serving tasty and good Sushi. Portions for some of the dishes are on the small side, but worked out very well when accompanied by other appetizers or small dishes to share. Menu is quite extensive, with a very large array of sushi menus, many set menus accompanied by soup, and many other side dishes and appetizers to enjoy. Parking has not been an issue so far, each visit has been quite pleasant, please keep in mind that this is a smaller scale, cozy, family run kind of place, service for some of the hand-crafted sushi menu can take some time, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Very delighted with our surprisingly good experiences. 😊👍

Great little sushi place. Top quality food at a great price. I tracked it down this afternoon for a nice meal. The owner is a one man show except for service help. His English is good and his passion for excellence shows. He warns there may be a wait at times, but preparation is outstanding. Would give it 5 stars if it had a proper sushi bar, but his place is small, yet cozy. Sorry I didn't take more photos of dished. I was really hungry and was very pleased with everything.

So glad my friend Scott (see two reviews back) invited me to have sushi with him today. This place is great. Most sushi places I have found in Chiang Mai are not as good nor as affordable as Maki. The owner was very nice and the food was great!! I ate a spider roll and a tempura roll. Also had deep fried gyoza and miso soup. He had enoki mushrooms in the miso soup, a great touch! And the fried gyoza, what?!? So crispy and flaky and so so so good. The tempura roll, I devoured and the spider roll was much bigger than I expected. All in all, a wonderful meal. This place is on the 5-star shortlist. Hmmm, maybe I should make a google map of my 5-star choices...
