Pansawan is an absolute gem! If you're craving delicious food in a beautiful, peaceful setting, this is the place to be. I had the pleasure of staying in Pee Tee’s bungalow next door, and she took such great care of me the entire time. She was always ready to help—whether it was arranging tours, giving the best recommendations for local attractions, or just making sure I had everything I needed.

One of the things that really stood out to me was the love and effort she puts into her food. She truly cares about sourcing local and organic ingredients—some even come from right across the street! I also loved how generous she was with the fresh vegetables in every dish, which made everything taste even better.

The property itself is spacious, wheelchair accessible, and perfect for families or retirees looking for a welcoming and relaxing spot.

Overall, I can't recommend Pansawan enough. Amazing food, a warm and caring host, and a...

The owner is extremely racist. And the food is the worst I've had in Thailand.

The place and location are beautiful though, but I felt extremely unwelcomed and felt hostility from the woman who manages and owns the whole place.

When I'd genuinely asked her why she doesn't like me. What did I do? She was quick to respond "We have different cultures. And I was raised and grew up here."

Her husband Ian, a friendly caucasian man, was quick to run up to my table and tell me "he owns this whole place" I'd be proud too if I owned any land in Thailand. But this felt very immature and show-offy.

As someone who avoids negativity and doesn't care for low-quality food, I will not be going back there.

Please avoid this place, and doesn't support hateful and racist people. Thailand is incredible, and this place provided for me, my first negative experience.

Thanks for the...

What a wonderful meal and experience! Would give 10 stars if I could.

My brother and I arrived here a little before 8pm, and the owner informed us that she let her staff leave early on account of a slower evening. However, she immediately asked us to come inside anyhow and offered to cook for us. I ordered the massaman curry and my brother got the panang - both insanely delicious! Everything was fresh, hot, and made from high quality ingredients. She even picks the herbs fresh from her garden before serving!!!

We then sat and chatted with her and her husband for a while, both wonderful people.

Without a doubt I’ll be back next time I’m in Chiang Mai. Totally worth a trip to their beautiful countryside location even from the...

If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. My favorite is Thai food but this, I think it’s the best food Ive ate in my entire life. First of all, The place is a hidden gem in Mae Rim, set against a stunning sunset and surrounded by nature. We ejnoyed the atmosphere which felt very authentic. Tee, the heart of the place, brings warmth and professionalism to every detail and you can feel her heart eith every dish. We ordered quite a lot of food and it was all just 10/10. The spring rolls were crisp and flavorful, but the real star was the fish—expertly prepared by a true master, turning fresh catch into a work of art. More than just a meal, dining here is an experience of care, craft, and connection. A must-visit in Mae Rim!

Epic dinner tonight in a lovely restaurant beside a rice paddy in Mae Rim. Home style cooking with flair, complexity and flavour. They have an English menu but the hot tip here is to look at the photos of dishes that other diners have taken on Google and request some of the off-menu delights. The sai ua here was the best we have had. The nam prik ong was incredibly delicious with the vegetable platter and deep fried pork rinds. Excellent Khao soi and Som Tam. Lovely service, cold beer. A very short drive from most accommodation in Mae Rim and well worth it. 10/10 would eat again.
