Papas garden provides affordable and clean accommodation for guests with short and long term room rates available. The property is spread over a large area, having a cafe/ restaurant and pool and gym, all of which are open to the paying public. The Cafe itself has a very extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and diner. Comprising of both western and Thai favourites with a couple of Japanese dishes like Tonkatsu which is good value for money as is all the food which is not expensive and basically local prices. Dessert options and cakes also available. They also have a large hot and cold beverage selection with various coffee and tea drinks, fruit smoothies, sodas etc. Local Thai beers available to purchase. Large gym with 3 sections comprising of indoor air conditioning section, with lots of treadmills, exercise bikes, benches, dumbbells and one resistance machine. There is also an open air but roofed area directly behind, which has several free weight benches, mats and leg press machines. Next to that, they have a "boxing " area, with a full sized ring and spongy canvas. Only one broken sprung punch bag unfortunately these days and NO boxing gloves or pads. They used to have a couple of good punch bags ceiling hung but removed them for reasons unknown and never replaced them. The salt water pool is a reasonably large size and always clean and well kept, plenty of seating in the pool area, both shaded and unshaded. Plenty of tables and chairs within the pool area and meals and drinks can be ordered on the phone provided directly to the Cafe where they will bring your order to you. The ladies and gents toilets have notoriously slippery tiles on the floor and walking on them with wet feet is basically like walking on black ice! They have recently installed rubber matting in them after many years without but the entrance areas to these still have a small area of uncovered tiles so proceed with caution! Also keep an eye out for the old cracked plastic pool lounge chairs. If heavy enough you can fall through the crack as I have done resulting in a cut back. Management said they were going to replace them but never happened. Would like to give 5 stars overall but can't due to the slippery and very dangerous tiles and the poor state of the "boxing " gym as outlined above. Photos of rubber matting and unprotected area provided.* Edit. Broken pool sun loungers have now been replaced. Recently added sun shades over the pool, which are a very welcome addition in the hot weather.

I stayed two nights at the Papa's Garden. My accommodation was a wooden cabin next to the river surrounding by big trees and lots of birds. Rustic look from the outside but inside was modern with clean & comfy bed, table for working, WIFI, cool AC, kitchen sink with dishes & fork & spoon, microwave oven, hot water kettle and mid-sized refrigerator. The bathroom has hot shower with liquid soap & shampoo and towels. They also have a swimming pool with salt water, gym, playground for kids and most of all nice restaurant. Restaurant will be closed at 6.30pm so you may need to eat early or go out for dinner or get your food and heat it up later. Very nice surprise, so green, so peaceful, comfy and staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are a bicycle group or big bike people who are looking for a quiet and comfortable place to stay with plenty of parking space and not for away from town, you may want to check this place out. I think you will love it!

Papa's Garden just might be the best hidden gem in all of Doi Daket. We discovered this place shortly after moving to Chiang Mai a year and a half ago. There staff is super friendly amd accommodating. There property is massive with so much stuff to do. Perfect for the kids, family, or just need a quite place to do your work. They have a gym, pool, and classes you can take when you stay or you can pay just to use the amenities, daily, monthly, or yearly. The food and drink selection is top notch with something for everyone. The quality is so fresh and flavorful. By the way, if you want to best Banana shake you will ever have in your life, this is the only place to come.

I stayed at Papa's Garden for 2 months. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the beds are comfortable.

The food is picture perfect every time and just as delicious as it looks.

If you have children there are tons of free activities here. A covered playground with a ballroom, trampoline, manual merry-go-round. An outdoor playground with swings, play construction toys, and a slide. There is also a covered area where kids can ride borrowed bikes, play cars, and scooters completely with traffic lines and signs.

There are two large chalkboards for drawing and even some boats for paddling around in the river on the property. They also have a few paid activities which include a swimming pool (free of you rent a room) and a really nice gym.

The owner and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend...
