This is the worst experience on the road so far - their "special" dishes are not edible - managed to ruin the batter for fried shrimps. I had 3 shrimps in my bowl one of which was cut in half, and fried as 2 separate ones with head and tail included. The dish looked like an illustration to a horror film - where do shrimps go when they go to hell - they drown in over fried greasy bad tasting batter along with vegetables - managed to deep fry the string mushrooms, the onions and even carrots. The only good thing about this plate was a soft-boiled egg. My companion's pork was chewy and had a weird color. Left the food. Probably it's best to order something else (drinks, hot pot, ice cream) or just avoid this place altogether. To be fair, the seating is nice, but I don't understand where do all the great reviews come from - the fair rating would be around 3 based on our...

Beyond expectations!!!! BRAVO velar team. We came as a group of 7 at 7ish pm. The vibes were so romantic great lighting and cute cozy Terrace and the indoor cafe part. We've ordered 2 sets of shabu shabu with some yuzu drinks! Yuzu drinks iced and hot, must try. Refreshing and so delicate, different than regular ones. The soup base is bonus, vegan and boiled by locally grown veggies, super sweet and favorable :) Also the pasta didn't not fail at all. Fusión of Thai and Italian perfecto!!! We had the macaroni, the crisp tofu is top, cotton like texture. So happy we found this on Google! They usually closed at 9pm but they served us til 10pm. They staffers were super informative about their food ingredients and characteristics and explained us the steps to have this fresh shabu shabu !!! THANK YOU...

Came in for a drink, was strongly recommended by the staff to try their yuzu drinks. I decided on the yuzu soda, but I requested no ice as it was a cold day.

She brought the cup like this— less than half full— and said this is how much she would make to pour on the ice. This drink is 100thb. I requested a top up of water, and she said ok but I have to charge you more for water.

At this point I must’ve been making a very displeasured face, so she said ok ok I will give you more soda water for free. She literally dripped maybe 5ml of soda water in.

My partner’s ice coffee had a long hair in it (colour and length matching hers) but we chose not to make a fuss about it or ask for a new one. We...

A delightful gem in Chiang Dao! Definitely, a must-visit cafe-restaurant. The entire family enjoyed every dish which had some hint of yuzu in it. Love the cold soba yuzu, yuzulino fettucine, phad Thai, kimchi soup (with yuzu-fragrance) and velar chicken. Wished they were in Bangkok! Owners were very hospitable, food is low on sodium and no msg. We felt that the owners put so much thoughts in their food. P.s. probably the best food we had on this trip which was a food trail of Michelin guide restaurants.
