Toke-Tong — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

Had dinner for one person here. Ordered "northern style sour soup with morning glory and snakehead fish". Soup was indeed sour and spicy and very tasty. I would order it again. Food was brought to my table quickly, especially considering how crowded the place was at that time. Prices are set about right for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. They have tables upstairs and downstairs, open air and AC. When I was there at dinner time, they had live acoustic music, and the restaurant was quite busy, most of the tables were occupied. Some tables can't see the stage, so if you want to watch the performance you might have to wait for a table. Authentic Thai experience. Our first dinner during our week-long trip in Thailand was at an old house that was transformed into a restaurant called Toke Tong. We were served a good selection of best-tasting Thai specialties which we enjoyed eating while being entergained by cultural dancers and singers. The restaurant has a very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Ideal for families or groups. They have outdoor seating with comfortable spots for diners.

A very atmospheric place to eat. The food were really nice quality, albeit a little less flavourful than other similar establishments.

The young (and very pretty) lady that served us spoke excellent English and was very obliging. I had forgotten my headphones and upon return, I was already noticed by the same lady at the entrance and speedily lead to the store space, where I was promptly reunited with my belongings.
