Cafe Coco — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

ORIGINAL REVIEW 2019 In all fairness, I should rate this establishment with 4 stars, but I give it 5 because it has a very personal connection with me, so that's why. Anyway, this place is empty most of the time. Right now there are seven workers and 3 customers. I guess people from the Hotel it belongs to stop by to get something to.go. It's a pity, because the place is very pleasant and the service very good. The food options are not very ample, though, and the quality is not top notch either, thus the 4 stars. For example, I tried the rum with raisins ice cream today, and compared to the one I had yesterday at Sila Bistro, it's day and night. Sila's is so much better. And cheaper. Anyway, stop by if you're around. You will probably like it. For me, it's a personal favorite I keep coming back to over and over.

UPDATE JULY 2023 I came back here and The place is different. They have updated the decor to a black and green palette. No, it is a farm to table kind of place. They have added some items to the menu but still they do have the same ice cream, same coffee and same cakes. I've just ordered a kiwi yogurt smoothie (110BHT) which was very good with a hint of lime that gave it a very special sour taste that was very pleasant. It was made with realmfeuit and topped with whipped cream. Compare my pics from 2019 with current pics and you'll see the change. My rating stays the same. We stayed at the neighboring resort and ended up eating here twice out of convenience (withing walking distance, kid friendly). The service was nice and the kitchen was quick. We enjoyed the food -- there's a good mix on the menu with something for everybody. My son had a pizza (there's a pizza oven out front) and my wife and I had bistro-style Thai food. The fruit shakes and coffee were also good. We didn't order dessert, but the cakes and bakery goods looked appealing. Prices seem slightly higher, but it's a touristy area. В совокупности можно было бы поставить 3 звезды, но самое главное в кафе и ресторане - это всё же еда, а с ней как раз большие проблемы. Мы заказали всего 2 блюда и оба были отнюдь не на высоте, я бы сказала, что они просто испортили хорошие ингридиенты, которые, кстати, были очень свежими,поэтому 2 звезды, с не 1. Больше всего обидно, что цена вопроса и качества вкуса европейской кухни - не более 100 батов, именно столькл стоит нормальный не сладкий майонез в Макро. И на всей этой кухне при отеле Heritage, где множество иностранных туристов не нашлось самого простого и распространенного соуса европейской кухни за 100 батов кг. О каком мировом туризме и богатых туристах из Европы и Америки вообще может идти речь, если даже прекрасные свжайшие кальмары в панировке во фритюре испортили поганым сладким крем-соусом. Может лучше не подавать ничего из европейской кухни, если шеф не знант азов и не поримант,что ксссичесаий майонез - он НЕ СЛАДКИЙ!! Наша еда - выброшенные деньги, съели всё ибо были очень голодные и с малышом, нам было неудобно терять время на разборки. Но если у вас есть выбор и время, то не стоит тут кушать, во всяком случае блюда с соусом. Пицца Thousand Island - соус был тоже не thousand island, а смесь кетчупа и сладкого майонеза, и с соусом в пицце был перебор, поэтому края у пиццы хорошо пропеклись, но под начинкой было влажное размякшее тесто. Я бы сказала, что это ПОЗОР! подавать такоп гостям и ещё взимать за это дополниьельную плату в виде нелогов и сервис чарджа. Хотя сервис и атмосфера в заведении хорошие.
