I give it three stars because they are deflecting the actual importance of a good restaurant - food quality and variety as well as creativity and service.
The owners have spent millions on an "Instagramable" restaurant and failed heavily on three of the four main reasons that make a great restaurant. No doubt the surrounding is stunning but unfortunately overshadowed immediately after entering the door. On our visit for an anniversary we walked into an empty restaurant (3 tables) and were placed by an attendant to our table.
The basic food menu they offered made it possible for them to provide tasty dishes. However from such a "want to be prestigious" restaurant I would have expected more than pasta and steaks, which could have been enjoyed at any other Spaghetti Factory. It certainly is not a creative Italian cuisine. In fact I would not even call it Italian. More like a pasta house serving steaks or vice-versa.
The other downer was the layout of the tables all placed next to each other on a big terrace. Tables with paper place mats like at burger shop and loud hip hop / pop music which was absolutely not within the concept of the million dollar castle.
Last but not least, the employees were friendly but uncredibly unprofessional and untrained. No two people had the same uniform and among the way too many associates no one possessed the knowledge to answer all the basic questions we had about the menu.
Conclusion is that food was good but for what it is, a castle, it is far below expectations in every way except pricing. If you want to take a picture its a good place but if you are someone who appreciates food and service in its most fundamental...
Read moreI had spent 700 baht for the round trip to this fine dinning restaurant but sorry to say that I won't come again... Begin with something good, the reception is nice and verified my book quickly. The receptionist then brought me to my table in the restaurant. But the staff English level is not very well...even not able to understand my question... The environment is okay... We had ordered two drinks, an appetizer, two Lobster Soup, a Hawaii pasta, a prawns pizza and a dessert. Initially I would like to order two dessert, but the first one, chocolate ice cream with Hokkaido milk cream on waffle, is rejected by the staff as they didn't got it, then I ordered another two, the toast with chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream with pastry with custard. But few minutes later, the staff come to told me there is no toast as well... I cannot use any word to describe how bad I felt... Food wide, the melon with parma am is good. But the Lobster Soup is too salty. Also, the prawns pasta is very salty as well. Together with the chopped ham in the pasta, wrong combination... After that, I hope the pizza is good. However, the sauce of the pizza is not good which is not suitable with pizza. Ham, cheese and pineapple is fine but the sauce is not pair it correctly. It is not tomato sauce I feel.... After eating all that, the dessert came. The vanilla ice cream is fine. But the pastry is worst, under bake... The custard is fine but due to the pastry is not crispy enough, it cut difficultly... So, it is just okay... The two ordered drinks,...

Came for desserts in the afternoon hoping I was wrong about this place. We were party of 3 and ordered 2 dessert and 3 drinks. First impression was not great with mandatory voucher they make you buy at the entrance. This 200-Baht voucher can be used to pay for food and drink for 200 Baht so I wasn’t too upset. I really do not appreciate this tactic to force people to spend at least 200 per person though. The first look at the menu had overpriced running through my head, but I had to give them a chance and taste it first. Unfortunately the taste did not change my mind. You could argue that it is the price of ig food, to which I would say I would not consider it ig food. The Kouign-Amann comes with a drizzle of caramel and chopped up nuts, topped with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, decorated with a chocolate disc with the cafe name and some small leaves, served on a cheap-looking plastic plate. Basically it does not look like a dish worth 300+ THB. The pastry is chewy with very little crisp around the edge. The other dessert we got is churros. The texture is fried dough all right, but is not like any other churros I had. It came with some chocolate dipping and sweet milk, not dulce de leche. Usually I would not mind this but for the price, I think that is not an unreasonable expectation. I also got myself a cup of cafe latte. I did not have any expectation for the coffee, but I would say I could get a better coffee for...
