Mum Aroi — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

Moom Aroi have many locations, as soon as we through the door there was a notice guaranteeing the original taste that made Moom Aroi the go to restaurant for many of us.

This location is something special, the view is superb (when it isn't too hot), there are 3 zones, Air con, Tables and Sofa, all very comfortable.

Decoration is sparse but plentiful 😁 not over the top, relying mostly on nature. Oh there are loads of parking space.

We arrived just a little before 18:00, the placed was pretty much all full by 18:15, but surprisingly the food arrived in no time at all. The speed was great, but we thought the food was a little colder than usual.

Staff was superb and plentiful, and all so eager to help 😊. The notice was right, the food was to the Moom Aroi's quality... 😁

Pricing, as always this place is what I call BKK prices... haa haa haa.

The restaurant looked beautiful with a great atmosphere, so my girlfriend and I decided to try it. We were initially ignored by staff and had to ask to be seated. She ordered the crab curry listed at 150 baht, marked as 100g. I asked for something similar with seafood instead — the staff said “same same” and I agreed.

Turns out, it wasn’t the same at all — my dish was different and spicier. Meanwhile, the crab curry was amazing and came in a large portion. Suddenly, the staff became extra attentive, which made sense once the bill came.

They had served 600g of crab without asking, charging 900 baht. My dish was over 500. When I questioned it, management insisted I ordered that amount, even though I didn’t. It felt like a setup for commission.

Food was decent, but the sneaky pricing and upselling ruined the experience....

It was raining during our dinner, and we couldn’t finish eating outdoors. We had to rush inside with plates and glasses in our hands. The restaurant was crowded, and my husband accidentally dropped one of the food plates he was carrying, leaving another plate on my hand soaked wet. Despite getting a table inside, no staff checked if we had finished eating. The wet food plates were never replaced. We had to repeatedly asking fir the tower of beer we had left outside, but it was only given to another table. Finally, the beer returned to our table, but it looked less than before we moved inside.
