Sailor’s House — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

So much wrong with this restaurant. Service is terrible. I'm sure they are very nice but they have no idea how to please customers. Food tasted OK but portions were small, and the waitress didn't think to suggest proper amounts for our group. They seem to not process orders accurately, so they kept coming back for clarification. They were out of most beers on the menu. No cocktails available for some inexplicable reason. Soup was served without bowls for the group. No dish came with serving spoons. We had to refill beer ourselves. We all left hungry and sober. On the positive side, the setting is beautiful and they've done a good job with the grounds. Recommend steering clear of this place, especially if you're a foreigner. It probably meets Thai standards, but certainly will disappoint...

Beautiful place BUT absolutely shocking service!!! Every staff member was sitting on all the bar stools, all busy on their phones oblivious to incoming guests or making sure my table needed service.

The "whole" fried fish we ordered came cut up in pieces. We requested a new one as a whole fish (as shown in the menu) and they simply took the old Skeleton/head/tail fried it up and put it on our plate which by this time the fish pieces got cold. Ridiculous.

The coconut soup we ordered came 30 minutes before the next meal. So that was cold by the time we wanted to eat it with rice and fish etc.

Overall a lovely looking place but massively let down by atrocious service. In 2 minds as to whether I want to...

What a great experience. This place is large enough to accommodate many patrons, but has a small time feel to it. There is indoor seating, but with the tables right on the ocean side, why not enjoy a great sunset?! The beer was cold, and the ice bucket was huge; much like the fried fish I ordered. My party of 5 was stuffed full with many good pictures and memories. The food was fantastic and not overly priced. The views were amazing and they even have a pool table for those that fancy a bit of snooker. There is nice music playing in the background, not too loud and not to soft.
