Average Vietnamese food. Not bad, but not great. Hanoi spring rolls - tasty but not very crispy Stewed red pork bahn mi - 80% bread, 20% contents (see my pics). There was almost nothing inside the sandwich. "North Pho beef nowl" - good Pho, but they didn't provide any basil leaves or bean sprouts to go with the soup?
Atmosphere - the restaurant is clean, nicely decorated. But why was it so dark inside? I went in around 7pm and had to ask them to turn the lights on above my table 🤷♂️ The only light was coming from the cashier/bar area...
Read moreThis is a terrific, chic & urban style restaurant right beside Assumption University's Huamark campus service traditional Pho and other great recipes. The owner is fluent in English, and explained that the Pho simmers for about 18 hours before it is served!
My favourite dishes there are definitely the Pho, but also the Vietnamese fried spring rolls. If you're not familiar with the area, Pho-Van is right beside KLIFF bar.
