Phra Ram 9 Kai Yang — Restaurant in Hua Mak Subdistrict

After hearing about its fame for many years, we finally tried their signature roasted chicken, and it was truly satisfying. The skin was delightfully crisp, the meat tender and juicy, and the spices were just right, not bland or dry like in some other places. They offer a variety of dipping sauces to cater to your taste buds. Accompanying dishes like the spicy soup with baby pork ribs, som tam with candied roasted peanuts, and grilled shrimp skewers were also delightful.

This place offers both open-air seating and air-conditioned areas, with very clean restrooms and ample parking. One notable feature is their strong commitment to hygiene – you won't find any flies here. Additionally, there are counters selling snacks and desserts, including freshly made Thai coconut crepes that were so good we ended up taking a few back home.

An excellent spot to unwind with colleagues after work or spend a lazy Sunday...

Came here for its Bib Gourmand grilled chicken (gai yang). Big eatery with big parking lot just few feet from Rama IX Road. Sat on non-aircon covered verandah along balcony and found tables spaced close together that the man in the next table took up most of the space I cannot pull out chair to sit but since only two of us we settled into two of the other three chairs.

Grilled chicken was good overall but it was a skinny chicken with lightly crisp skin and meat was cooked well but not moist nor piping hot. Sauces were too sweet for us. Is it Bib Gourmand worthy I say not as I didn’t feel the urge to come back anytime soon. If I was in the vicinity, yes.

What a nice place, nice view, easy to get to, quick service, and fantastic food that is cooked and presented very well. It seems that the restaurant is well known amongst tourists because of the dedicated area that is designated for tourists couches which had 3 buses full of Chinese tourists who were dining at the time, yet the place had lots more seats available for other diners. Lovely atmosphere and you can choose to sit indoors in air conditioned room or enjoy your meal in the fresh air. Food was so delicious and despite how busy it was, we were served very quickly.
