Sizzler The Mall Bangkapi — Restaurant in Khlong Chan Subdistrict

Unfortunately, this visit to this particular branch was different from all other visits over the years in different locations.Welcoming was good and we were assisted to our table by our choice and given instructions oh how to order or get attention by using remote call system provided.After requesting our meals and drinks and confirmation by staff, drink was served after about 10 minutes wait, followed by the meal, except that there was no drink, nor food for me. Decided to wait 10 more minutes, then called the staff and informed them they have forgotten my order. After apologizing, my drink arrived 5 minutes later but no food. Again we called the staff and notified them. Finally, my food arrived after preparing time of about 10 extra minutes. It was unpleasant experience, and the first one at a very reputable outlet. I couldn't believe it when we requested the staff to pack our leftovers for take away and they asked for THB 20.00 for the packing.

As an update, I visited again, but this time, huge changes were made in terms of location change, and quality of both, food and service.

I've been coming to Thailand for 40 years and have never eaten at Sizzler before. Now I have, I feel I haven't missed anything. My main course of ลาบ-flavored grilled chicken breast steak didn't taste anything like ลาบ and was pretty mediocre regardless. BUT, as my wife's family tell me, Sizzler was the place they'd go as kids and what everyone loved was the salad bar. And that part is pretty good, still.
