Pizza & Bake — Restaurant in Khon Kaen Province

Most horrible experience so far in Khon Kaen. We've ordered a large pizza with "Italian sausage" for 365 Baht. After a while it has arrived. 10 or 12 very thin slices of the CHEAPEST scrap hot dog sausage you can buy at Makro. Drowning in way too much cheese. I've mentioned the issue. They took the pizza back and were discussing about the case. After 19 minutes I've got the meanwhile cold pizza back. They were saying that everything is OK with the pizza. Well, I've mentioned the pizza was cold., so the server put her index finger into the side of the dough. Because the Farang may not know what's cold or what's hot. Alright, that was it. I told them to cancel the pizza. Suddenly the owner shows up and arrives with a dish of the scrap sausage used for the pizza as a display. To convince me that this is authentic Italian sausage. But it was still a hotdog or Bockwurst sausage. After I've mentioned to the owner that this is by far the cheapest kind of processed meat you can get at the supermarket, her mood changed quickly. Conclusion: every time someone bites in one of their pizzas, a random Italian suffers a horrible death. 365 Baht for 30 grams of the cheapest sausage available ... ...

Had lunch today at the recommendation of a family member. Friendly staff greeted us at the door and immediately sat us. The huge menu has something for everyone. I was told to give some of the Italian entrees a try. I had the lasagna with minced pork. Other than being a bit on the sweet side, it was very tasty. My wife had their Vietnamese noodle soup, and our other family members had spaghetti with meat sauce, a pork cutlet with fries, and a Thai seafood noodle dish. It was fairly busy, but the food came out very timely. We will be back again to give some other menu...

This restaurant has been around for quite a few years and is fairly popular with the middle age/older diners. They have a fairly extensive menu with dishes from a few ASEAN countries and some western food. I had chicken with cashew nuts and found it a bit sharp, but only in comparison others I have had. The battered morning glory was ok.
