Be adventurous. Leave the resorts and try this. It looks like a little shack. It is but don't be put off. The food is brilliant and the two ladies who run it are friendly and fun. We did a quick visit at lunchtime having seen some reviews, so had a couple of drinks. We saw the dishes other tourists were having and decided to try dinner that evening. In the smallest of kitchens they cook lovely fresh dishes. They have a steady flow of local people picking up orders. Good sign eh? I can honestly say it's the best food for value I have had. Ever ? Yes just about. Try the shot of Thai whisky, and watch the ladies laugh with you as you try it!!!!! Recommend the chicken tom yum soup, the chilli chicken and the chicken fried rice. I have had tons of wonderful food in Phuket, but the sweet corn salad, tom yum with (tons of giant) prawns and sweet coconut sap drink were the most delicious of all. If you can’t handle spicy food though, ask for no chili… even if you do, it’s a bit spicy.
They are very kind & friendly here too, and the decorations/atmosphere are better than anything in a resort. You can purchase several different Thai whiskeys in the small shop, too.
