The food here is fresh, delicious, and very fairly priced. The host is friendly, attentive and took the time to tell us what seafood was fresh that day. The restaurant is perched right on the water with gorgeous sea views.
We were lucky that there was squid that was literally fresh off the boat, so we ordered steamed squid with chilli and lime. It was divine with a proper spicy punch, exactly as we asked. Note: there‘s a spine that looks like plastic but it‘s not!
The garlic prawn/squid (Gung/Muk tod kratiem) was hands down the best we tried during our stay on Koh Mook. At other places we tried, they deep fried the seafood, making it quite greasy.
Ask if they have crab, even if it’s not in the menu! We had a crab omelette. It comes with lime chili sauce on the side — could have been spicier but was tasty nonetheless.
We also ordered a watermelon shake and fragrant coconut juice, which were delicious. Everything cost 605 Baht!
Warning: it’s a small place so be prepared to be patient. But it’s well worth it!
Edit: we pre-ordered stir-fried crab with curry sauce for the following day and it was delicious — a tad spicy, making you go back for more. It might be a bit tricky to get the meat out but they have the tool plus the crab is much tastier this way!

Read more🍲🥘🥗 We stopped by at this restaurant 3-4 times during our trip because this restaurant is quite unique from the others.
I like the idea that they support local fishermen by buying local fish from them. Plus they had a variety of fish, like Jack Fish, Talang Queen Fish and so on which tasted very good. Meanwhile in other restaurants, they had only a common and simple fish like Tilapia, Red Tiliapia(They are not even the sea fish.), Seabass(Most of them that selling in Thailand are from brackish water, not the sea) On the first day to Koh Mook, I took the local boat that they use to transfer their supplies from mainland like fruits, vegetable, meat, alcohols and yes, fish! like tilapia 🤣. You can find this fish everywhere in Bangkok, so I suggest you to look for other fish. We've been to different islands mostly in the south of Thailand. It was easy to find local fish at the restaurants, especially at Lipe and Yao Noi, but in here at Koh Mook, it was difficult to find them. I still don't get this.
The food tasted good because of the quality of fresh fish. We always ordered Deep fried fish with tumeric. It was the best!
The owner and the staffs were friendly.
Note that they don't sell alcohol at this place...
Read moreThis restaurant might at first glance not look very special, but they have some of the best and freshest seafood we had on our whole trip. As the menu is quite large, I would recommend asking the owner for recommendations as he can tell you which dishes are local specialities. Per recommendation we had a delicious turmeric fried fish and some sort of squid ink curry dish, whose name we sadly dont remember and both were very delicious! We would have definitely returned had we not discovered this little gem on our last night on koh mook. The fish and everything else is super fresh, as they get all their seafood directly from the local fishermen.
Service was also very nice as the owner and his family are...
