We had an unforgettable dinner at Highland Paradise Koh Samui—a truly breathtaking experience from start to finish.
Not knowing exactly where my wife was taking me, I was pleasantly surprised as we ventured inland after spending most of our time near the beach. The truck ride up the mountain was an adventure in itself, filled with excitement and anticipation. We arrived just before twilight, greeted by one of the most stunning views of Koh Samui. Seeing the island from such a vantage point was magical, especially as the sky transformed with the fading sunlight.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. Our server, Soe, was exceptional. He greeted us with such warmth and pride, going above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor truly elevated the experience.
The food was incredible—easily some of the best we’ve had in Thailand. We shared a variety of dishes, each prepared with care and bursting with flavor. The papaya salad was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of heat (I opted for “medium,” which packed a fun kick!). The veggie egg rolls were crisp and flawlessly cooked. And of course, I couldn’t leave Thailand without having Pad Thai one last time. It was absolutely delicious—well-balanced, I added a touch of chili flakes to give it a subtle, spicy edge. So good!
This meal was the perfect way to end our trip to Thailand. The incredible food, the breathtaking views, and the kind-hearted service all made it an evening to remember.
I can’t wait to return to Koh Samui and support this amazing restaurant again. Thank you for making our last night in...
Read moreBreathtaking view, steep price — literally and figuratively. Well, what can I say — it’s way up there! The view is absolutely stunning, classic Samui: mountains, sea, and sky blending into a postcard. The location is high in the hills, like many places here. As for the food — it’s standard Thai cuisine. Nothing extravagant or unique, and to be honest, not worth the long, steep drive just for dinner. We barely made it up in our car! Dinner for four cost us nearly 6,000 baht — and while that might be expected for the view, it still felt steep for typical Thai food. Honestly, you might be better off grabbing a bite at a food court down the road, then heading up past the restaurant to one of the free viewpoint spots — you’ll get the same jaw-dropping scenery without the extra cost. Also worth noting: entrance is by reservation only, and the best seats with the best views are always taken. That said, if you’re after a fancy dinner with a view and soft seats to sink into, then sure — this place delivers. But if you’re just in it for the view? Ride up a bit higher, snap your pics, and skip the menu. We spent sunset there, and it was beautiful — just not sure we’d do it again.

Read moreWonderful restaurant with amazing food, staff, and views. All also reasonably priced.
We were initially told to try here as Roof was full which was a stroke of luck in the end.
The restaurant offer a shuttle direct to the restaurant from the car park just off the main road (50 THB per person) because the road is generally unsuitable for low cc or double-passenger mopeds.
The view is insane and there is a mix of low table, standard, booth, and "suspended" (best way to describe it, basically sat on a net overhanging the cliff) seating.
Staff are all amazing, especially Soe. It's a new place hence few reviews but this will be huge in no time. Visit while it's still relatively new and unknown.
There's also one of them big swings over the cliff if you're into that (~200 THB pp). Again, basically no queue as...
