Lerdtip Restaurant is an absolute gem, serving up an incredible spread of Thai-Chinese dishes that left me speechless. We ordered several dishes, including the Crab Red Curry, Pork with Green Chilli, Olive Fried Rice, Oyster Omelette, and Seafood Hor Fun.

The Crab Red Curry was a prepared well, packed with deep seafood richness and layers of spice that paired beautifully with rice. It was rich, aromatic, and had the perfect balance of heat and sweetness.

The Oyster Omelette was something I had never seen before—an overwhelming oyster-to-omelette ratio, served on a hot plate, with Chef Gigg stir-frying it right in front of us. The sheer abundance of plump, fresh oysters made it a dish to remember. The Pork with Green Chilli was equally impressive. Despite being lean, the pork remained tender and paired perfectly with the fragrant, spicy green chilli.

But the true pièce de résistance was the Seafood Hor Fun, where we opted for River Prawns and Codfish. The wok hei (smoky charred aroma) was incredibly intense, with chewy noodles coated in a rich, umami-filled gravy. The codfish was cooked to perfection, encased in a delicate, crispy batter while remaining tender inside. The river prawns were fresh and bursting with tomalley, adding even more depth of flavour.

This restaurant absolutely deserves five stars, yet I noticed its Google rating was only 3.8. After investigating, it was clear that most of the negative reviews were from over five years ago or unrelated to the restaurant. Based on my visit, Lerdtip serves top-tier Thai-Chinese cuisine, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an...

We absolutely loved everything that was served. We ordered the seafood vermicelli, Kai Lan (Chinese kale), crab with red curry, pork with green chili, olive rice, oyster and eggs and last but not least — the hor fun with river prawn and snow fish.

The ultimate star was the hor fun. The gravy was consistent, it was not too watery. The wok hey was strong. The snow crab was cooked to perfection. It’s not easy to deep fry a snow crab. It was battered well, it didn’t feel too oily and it had a good crunch to it. The river prawn was fresh, it was bouncy and a nice bite to it. Who would have known to pair hor fun with snow fish!

The olive rice is worth mentioning. It was cooked with cashews. It had a depth of flavour. It was fragrant, and boy I would order this again.

The pork with green chili — I believe it’s called lemon pork. The green chili sauce, I believe it was home made. And it added a nice kick to it to the pork. Again it was cooked to perfection.

The rest of the dishes were so good as well. But these were my top three favourites.

Chef Gigg was around and he was tirelessly serving us. He also recommended us how to eat it. He was so lovely and kind to us.

On a separate note — prior to my visit here, I was wondering why the reviews were only at 3.8. After much investigation, it appears that there were a lot of irrelevant low reviews and comments that contributed to the low score.

We will definitely make a visit again and again! This is definitely a saved location on my Bangkok...

The owner also a chef cooked good but have no knowledge about run a business. Especially a restaurant.. Do business in Thailand is easy much easier than in advanced country. Everybody can see everywhere in Thailand no matter what you sell people , a lot of people will buy it. This restaurant had advantage over others because the chef success in Cooking Contest , received Shell reward plus a good review from well known YouTuber like Mark Wiens and many others. But ... Chef Gigg Kamol an owner have little knowledge of run a good business. No matter how good your is , the SERVICES is much more important than food. If you give customer great services with regular food they're happy and they'll come back. You can use customers suggestion to improve your cuisines. Then you'll have a good food along with good services at the end. I hope Mr. Gigg smart enough to get help from professional to lay down a good business plan. So, he can let the employees do the jobs for him and he can have free time to take care customers or do whatever he wants. For english speaking is important, all you need to do is to have one or two employee with English skill that's it. Customers won't to pay up if they can get Good Food 👍 Good Services 👍 TOGETHER .... remember ... ✔ ❇ Customers pay your salary ❇ ❇ Make sure all employees...

For the fame and the price... this Iron chef location disappoints... Got 4 dishes and lets go through them: 1 steam crab goes for around 1200฿ - Pricey for the crab size... tho full of roe... i do not think the crab was cleaned properly.... for the price... i am quite sure that i can get a bigger crab somewhere else Wagu Fried rice... 1200฿+ This dish was supposed to be the dish that was famously mention in Mark Wien's video.. unfortunately not that good when we visited... the beef does nt feel premium.. grainy.. tough... tasted nothing like the wagu beef sushi we had earlier... the taste of the fried rice was good tho... but at more than 1200฿.. just a good fried rice wasnt enough... Fried veg... forgot about the price but should be around 100฿ range.. it was surprisingly good.. the smell of wok hei and fire filled the dish... goes perfectly with rice... Fried pork collar.. 280฿ (mayb).. the best dish of the night... pork with the special green chilli sauce just bring it to another level... Conclusion: A place you can visit for a normal meal... it would be above average at a reasonable price... however... none of its famous (pricey) dishes lived up to expectations...
