Panang chicken • Gravy— thin, salt forward. Minimal ginger. Minimal garlic. Some lemon grass. Some Kefir lime leaves. Minimal coconut. Minimal chili paste. 5/10 • Chicken— blanched chicken. No char, no flavor notes besides chicken. Some salt. Dry chicken breast. Ok portion. 5/10 • Chili’s— cut lengthwise. Market chilis. Minimal heat 5/10 • Rice— plain white steamed rice. Cute presentation. 6/10 • Dish Overall— 5.3

Shiitake mushroom with shrimp • Gravy— thin. Oyster sauce and fish sauce based. Some garlic. No herbs. Some green onion. 3/10 • Mushrooms— small brown mushrooms, basic taste. Not smoky tasting like shiitake should. 5/10 • Shrimp— 5 tail on butterfly shrimp. Farm raised. Small size, not up to gourmet pricing. 2/10 Dish Overall— 3.3

Ambience— very well appointed decor. Clean, empty dining room. Open kitchen. Soft music. Cute napkins. 8/10

Service—Waiter hovered. Rushed us into ordering, no follow up visit. 2/10

Experience— 3.7

Abundant use of beautiful red woods gives the interior a very rustic look. The dining room, at the time of our visit, was devoid of any other guests— though there was a raucous party of nurses having their 29 year reunion on the second floor. The open air kitchen allowed for the observation of our meals being prepped. This part of the experience was whimsical and exciting. The anticipation continued to grow, despite our...

Mixed feelings about this place. At first we were excited about this restaurant. We had lunch 2 times, diner 1 time and decided to go there for another dinner on our last night in Mae Sariang. We arrived at 19:50, only around 25 people in the restaurant, closing time of the restaurant is 22:00. For some reason the owner said that we could not eat in the restaurant, no explanation given. Very strange. He left us standing there while all the other restaurants were closing or already closed. He served us the same day so he must have recognized us. Even though he forgot one meal we ordered at lunch we didn’t complain and came back the same night because the food is good. So if you are interested in an restaurant who don’t care about their customers...

We got here at 18:30 and tried to order papaya salad, got told it was finished, then tried to order one of their specialities, finished, tried to order lime soda drink, finished, tried to order brownie, finished. Not massively an issue more of an annoyance. The food we did order was nice enough though but unfortunately as we gave back our menus the waiter dealing with us (the man in blue that was behind the bar) rudely snatched the menus from our hands and looked annoyed(maybe because we kept asking for sold out dishes?). I’ve had nicer experiences at street food stalls where I pay 40TBH for a meal and also get a smile. Just unfortunate as other reviews highly rate the place but...

A gem of a Thai resto out here. Decide to visit due to various reviews abt the food and the one that attracted us was their stir fried mushroom w shrimps and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Everything we ordered was a hit, for a foreigner it tasted perfect and possibly the best meals we’ve had. Had plain omelette, mushrooms, pineapple fried rice (very tasty), and their tom yum shrimp. The soup was less red and tasted more milky than any versions we’ve tried and it’s sooo nice. Love it and highly recommended! Price was right for us! ample parking :)

The good news first: the atmosphere is quite nice and relaxing; the staff is friendly. That said, the food is very overpriced by Thai standards, especially given how bland it tastes. If you’re into spicy food, this place definitely won’t hit the mark—and even besides this, the complexity and depth of flavor that Thai cuisine is famous for isn’t there. For anyone traveling the Mae Hong Son Loop: don’t always trust the Google ratings—there are definitely more authentic (and tastier) spots out there.
