I went again to give it another chance and to see what improvements they made, but there was none. Actually, if anything, it felt like it was worse. Toilets were blocked at 6.30pm, no one cleans the bathrooms, broken doors, there's no garbage bin for paper so the toilets were full of paper and human waste. Even if I truly enjoy psytrance and there was nothing wrong with the music but the speakers were so bad that we had to leave. Quality of sound is terrible. Still weird blinking lights. Still 50 baht for a small bottle of water at an event like this. You pay 500 baht, but for what?
Former review: I would have given it a 3 because the area is nice, the psytrance event ended exactly at 10pm, the music was not too bad and pretty good vibes.
Things I would change: Stop with the crazy blinking lights. Instead, invest in some nice visual effects. Sell pre-made joints so people can buy it easy and stop over charging for small things. Good energy and care attract the right crowds, but these organizers haven't learned it yet.
For someone who is a thai person who has gone to many events in Pai (and all over the world) and is also an active person in the community, I understand organisators want to make money. But there's a difference between making money or exploiting the people attending.
50 baht(!!!!!!!!) for water at this event is exploitation. How can the organizers be this money thirsty that when you create an event like this, you put plain small bottle water for 5x the amount?! Shame on you. Be better people. If I had to choose between this event and the other barakan events, I would...
Read moreOverall very disappointing. While the venue has a vibe and the potential to host a great event, the speakers extremely poor quality. It's honestly unbearable. On top of that the toilet were Uncleaned and already overflowing at 7pm dispite not having a large attendance. Overpriced drinks.. water for 50bhat? For a 500bhat...
Read moreDon't be selfish by supporting such events. On once or twice a week and disturbs the whole area. I like to go out, dance or party, but the noise is excessive. (Psy)Trance community claims to be a lot of positive things. Feels hypocritical in this case because it's at the expense of...
