ชิวกะวิว@Rim Kong — Restaurant in Nakhon Phanom Province

Heavenly hospitality awaits the hungry, thirsty and or lonely traveller at super friendly Rim Kong Bar & Restaurant, on the vibrant Nakon Phanom Walking Street. Seating is available inside and out and on the night I visited (for the first time), it seemed there were a lot of group dinners happening, which is great. I was flying solo and the attentive staff made an extra effort to make me feel warmly welcome. Icy cold Chang beers, comfortable sofa seating and tasty comfort food (I recommend the fried garlic calamari) were all a treat. However, the real highlight was the awesome entertainment with the privileged of seeing two (2) fantastic house bands doing skillful covers of both Thai and American music classics. I had high hopes after reading the reviews but was disappointed when I visited. Even though it was not busy the service for food was very slow and when it did come it was not hot as though it had been sitting out for awhile. The owner or manager of the shop is amazing always keeping an eye on everything and she makes sure everything is in order. The staff are also very friendly. The view and atmosphere is very cozy. Live music is good to. Came here twice back to back if i was staying longer I would be back tomorrow too. Local beers are good with promotions too and food is tasty. Ohh and they take roa pai tiew...
