I have held off writing this review while I thought about my experience overnight and spoke to other members of my party of 6. On arrival we were all impressed by the spacious and recently built restaurant but on looking around it is almost too spacious and the tables are spread so far apart you lose atmosphere. The staff were attentive but I do wonder when this silly mask wearing will come to an end - the land of smiles has no smiles anymore! Ok let's move on to the food - we all ordered our food and had drinks while we waited, one of our party had his spaghetti dish at least 10 minutes before any other food arrived ( a common fault in Thailand I'm afraid) 2 of us ordered pizza and they arrived in a reasonable time but 1 was cold and had clearly been sat waiting for both to be ready ( poor ) Eventually we were all eating and no 'major' issues. Food: all our dishes were classed as just ok on flavour and lacked that Italian flavour we all know about - having lived in Italy for a while I have experience in this food and clearly Italians did not have any input into this food. I observed a chap making a pizza and rolling the dough with a rolling pin - never seen this before ! I have doubts you would see this happen in a real Italian restaurant if I'm honest. The pasta dishes I am told were again lacking flavour but not to the point of complaint. All in all we all agreed the food was just average ! Serving pizza and pasta does not make you an Italian restaurant. Thais cook awesome Thai food but the crossover to Italian food clearly does not work. 5 of us had desert and again this was ok - Ice cream or pre made cake can't really go wrong. No coffee was offered and perhaps not available but it's an Italian restaurant so where is the coffee. Another point I need to make is that half way through our meal we had 6 empty glasses and had to beg for drinks 😮 Staff need to be more aware of customer needs. In total the 6 of us spent just short of 3000baht so this place is not cheap ! Note: a very talented chap was playing music and singing and although it was not loud our table was so close we did struggle to talk to each other - not sure if it can be reduced in volume. As in all my restaurant visits I review the toilet facilities and if I'm honest these get 10/10 so please keep this standard going. So - we had a nice evening but to score this restaurant it would be: Atmosphere 6/10 Food 5/10 Staff 7/10 Facilities. 10/10 Price. 6/10 Parking 10/10
Will I return - undecided but it's...
Read moreBeen twice now in the last three months. Brought big crowds including kids. I like this place. Needs some adjustments. Ordering starters and mains and everything comes at the same time is why I gave 3 stars for service. Always buy wine as well and waitress was excellent at opening and very good. Piano player is good but as others say can be a bit loud. I tasted pizzas and would say good for Thailand outside of Bangkok and big cities. Pasta I always eat was fine not great but a pleasant change. Overall YES ... I like Bosco and hope...
