If you’re looking to end the year with a bang (and a sleigh bell ring), there’s a hotel in Khao Yai that transforms into something straight out of a fairytale when the cool season rolls in. This place isn’t just popular, it’s infamously booked solid when December hits, with prices climbing as fast as holiday excitement. And yet, families pour in, undeterred and determined to soak up every festive detail.||Each New Year period (or at least for the years I am aware of), the hotel goes full throttle on the Christmas spirit. Think of glittering lights by the thousands, whimsical decorations scattered across a mini fairground, and music and shows that floats till about midnight. Pony drawn rides, a small-scale reverse bungee, artificial snow, and picture-perfect snowmen that never melt, it’s like stepping into a snowy European town, minus the frostbite. The entire compound becomes a festival of joy, with food stalls offering a delightful variety of treats and Instagram moments waiting at every turn.||For families, the charm goes beyond holiday decor. Horse riding across the expansive golf course lets little ones live out their countryside cowboy fantasies. Beside the hotel’s café and restaurant, there is a rental hub for vintage car karting and ATVs, a huge hit for both kids and grown-ups looking for thrills. Just be prepared for long lines; we had to wait nearly two hours for the vintage car ride.||Even non-guests flock to the on-site café and restaurant, adding to the holiday buzz. During peak season, it's a whirlwind of aromas, chatter, and photo ops. Yes, the prices soar. Yes, it gets packed. But this hotel doesn’t just offer accommodation, it delivers an experience, a memory, a celebration. If you’re chasing that elusive Christmas-in-Thailand vibe with a sprinkle of magic and a dash of adventure, this hotel in Khao Yai is where the...

We would like to thank the Rancho Carnvee hotel and staff for an excellent vacation experience. The hotel and the room met our expectations. We had booked the rooms near the pool. After small terrace, only a few steps away were the sunbeds and the swimming pool. The swimming pool area is very comfortable and services are nearby.|Golf|In our opinion, the hotel's golf course is one of the best and most attractive in the area. The course is not easy, especially the greens are fast and demanding.|Service|At the end of the trip, the staff was outside to escort us and welcome us again.|The hotel area is sympathetic. In addition to golf, there are horse stables and rental of miniature electric cars in the area. We liked the area, not too fancy, but good quality.|The climate in the area feels milder than in Bangkok or the areas further south. In fact, we had already decided after many years to give up trips to Thailand, because of the age burden. We discovered the Khai Yai area a couple of years ago and its climate got us excited and kept coming back. Now it seems that if we have enough strength, we will come one more time.|The only small improvement concerns breakfast. As Europeans, we would have liked a little more options considering our breakfast habits and a little variation on different days. e.g. no cheeses were available at all.|Summary|If you are tired on Bangkok or other Thai big cities. This is a place to consider. There is plenty on golf courses and restaurants around, but you need to have transportation organized. We had a golf and hotel package from GolfAsia. They provided a driver...

Overall we had a much higher expectation for a hotel at this caliber Firstly we booked a deluxe room with an extra bed paying 1500 more, for 3 grown adults let me just say the extra bed was definitely ‘underwhelming’. We also wanted to charge our electric car at the parking station and the application didnt work. When we told the staff the response was rather rude and unhelpful. At check in they also said no activities were complimentary but when we booked it the advert definitely said 2 complimentary activities. The last blow was the safe in the room not working. They took a really long time to service it taking more than half the day for us to wait in the room. Overall the service here was very subpar to the price paid. Staff should have been more trained in service management and communication for any problems occuring. It was just dissapointing.

Charnvee is a wonderful retreat in the heart of Khao Yai — spacious, peaceful, and surrounded by lush greenery. It’s the perfect escape for families, couples, or groups of friends who want a relaxing getaway. The atmosphere is calm and refreshing, with plenty of open space and beautiful views that make you feel truly away from the city — yet it’s just a 2.5-hour drive from Bangkok. There are lots of activities to enjoy, making it a great choice for family leisure. The property also features a golf course for those who want to spend time outdoors. Staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall warm experience. The only downside is the breakfast selection — not very diverse and lacking healthy options. Still, Charnvee balances comfort, nature, and good service, making it a spot I’d happily return to.
