The Grill Room Korat — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Friendly but lacking professionalism for a fine Italian restaurant. Reservation was made on the phone with staff noises in the background and had several transfers to someone who could understand "make a reservation". The table was nicely well set. For a party of 10, 3 small sets of bread were served - there were 4 thin slices and 2 sticks in each set. They weren't even enough to share one set among 3-ish persons. The servers took the bread baskets without refills but never the butter cups and small plates - they were left with us for no purpose until we finished and left. The Grills were generally good - except pork dishes were very dry and tasteless. All dishes came out in a very random order and some of us finished the dish before some got the food. When spoken with, the Manager said "we see that you are hosting a family meal for Thais so we serve ladies and elderly first" but it was totally not a case (guys were served first and the only elderly wasn't served until half of us were eating already). We weren't consulted nor informed at all re their practice - the family dinner wasn't a family dinner in that sense. I actually believed that they forgot some of our orders and just cooked it when we asked, twice for it. I'd understand if the Manager was honest and sincere to customers.

I read another review here about "the Manager" and him using Thai as an excuse. Totally unacceptable and it was the major flaw we experienced at this restaurant. The manager clearly needs to do a better job and train Thai servers in professional service.

I'd still recommend this restaurant for a party of 2-3 but not a bigger group. Also, be ready to compromise for...

The restaurant is inside the Kantary Hotel Korat and located on the 20th floor. Everyone can visit it regardless of staying at the hotel. You can take an outdoor lift to the 20th floor directly or you can take an indoor lift to the 19th floor and then climb the stairs to the 20th floor.

I recommend you to start your dinner with truffle soup before moving on to the main course. The appetizers such as bread and butter are so nice that you might get full before you eat your meals.

Lamb chops are amazing here. They are soft, juicy and delicious with the sauce, creamy spinach and mixed vegetables. I eat them whenever I stay at the Kantary Hotel Korat.

I also love wagyu beef steak and burger. There are a wide range of alcoholic drinks to choose. The wines are nice in particular.

The atmosphere is relaxing with a night view of Korat. The staff is kind and caring but the service might be a bit slower if there are...

The ambiance is great, the food was delicious. However, the kitchen wasn’t very considerate with the timing of our food delivery. We had received our cheese and cold cuts plate and salad, and had not even touched our salad yet, when our main course started to come out.

We felt very rushed and it took away from what could have been a great dining experience.

Also, we have finished our dinner, and so far no one has approached us to see if we’d like any coffee or dessert. For this level of restaurant, the lack of attention to service is a big miss in my opinion.

Not sure what happened, but the first table we were shown to, the linen was very wet on one side and had to move tables.
