Tapestry Restaurant — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Having read the positive reviews, we went to Tapestry after a day of wrapping up some investments in Korat with some very high expectations. We wanted to try the Peking Duck, but we were only 2 people and they only offered a whole duck, so we went with dim sum and some other dishes. Overall, after nearly 30 years in Singapore, I have to say we were underwhelmed by the dim sum offerings. The har gaw lacked any ‘bite’ of prawn and seemed quite gluttonous, almost as if the prawn was heavily minced. The siew mai was similar. Also, we ordered some steamed rice on the side for our other dishes. It was overcooked and at the same time only lukewarm. Yuk. The Shanghai dumplings were good as was the chicken in XO sauce. The food aside, the service was proactive and excellent. I am torn between a 3 rating and a 4 rating, but I am going to round down based on the food that we tried on this visit. We will try it again and have their ‘signature’ Peking duck and fried rice next time. If they meet expectations I will amend my rating to a 4. Overall an ok effort to bring Chinese food to Korat, but this is not a place that we would go to for a weekend dim sum...

The Best Chinese Restaurant in Korat

Tapestry Chinese Restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant I tried in Korat (Nakhonratsima) province. In fact, it's one of the best I had ever try in Thailand.

Dim Sum is the best. I said "Wow!" so many times for my first bite on each menu. Very good Peking duck, Dim Sum, Fried Taro, etc . Fried rice noodle with sweet and sour fishes is my favourite dish. Chinese tea is so nice too.

Never Never disappointed to have dinner here at Chinese restaurant at Kantary Hotel indeed. And I always looking for Pakking duck (duck's crispy skin & vegetables wrap with small Chinese crepe ) it's one of my favorite menu here. Highly recommended menu. And for the duck's meat you can choose one menu to cooked by chef. And this times I ordered snow fish with special Chinese sauce which is so delicious 😋 Thank you Kantary to have such a good Chinese restaurant at Korat. And also staffs here is so active and friendly. I will definetely go back...
