Italio Pizza House — Restaurant in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province

Very good pizza for rural Thailand with a wood fire pizza oven and a tight menu. Easily second best in NST.

But for the price, the ingredients are surprisingly cheap. The green peppers looked as if they used the kitchen scraps, and the sausage slices were basically just hotdogs.

The dough was also underbaked on the underside. Doughy and floppy with just a hint of browning in the center. We ordered almost an hour after the opening time, but maaaaaybe the oven was not preheated all the way, if I was to be generous.

If you are looking for a good local pizza place, I would recommend the local restaurant "Rice". Better quality ingredients, better cooked crust, and cheaper price.

Ive been here many times and, as far as pizza goes, crust is key. They have the only brick oven pizza in town, so if you want good pizza (no easy task herebouts) for sure this is the one. Also, it happens to be a great space w full bar and plenty of room for large gatherings. It is run by a friendly couple and Ive never had a bad time there. Additionally, Foo of local restaurant fame has a space within the space where he does his Mexican and Indian foods. Thus, something for everyone is to be had there. Check it out if you're in town...
