Good location, convenient parking Traditional local foods. Foods are good and fresh. But the price is quite high for those local menus once you can find those ingredients in the local place.
The services from the chief (maybe the owner) was great with smile and taking care (he remember my father who came once), then we faced the suituation with the woman who was the waitress for our table. We order the local dip “Nam Prik Mang Da” with repeating “no chilli at all” for my grandpa as he has problem no longer eat spicy food. Once the dish served we found there are many pices of chili then we ask her to change, she answer “I don’t know I already ask the chef to not put chili” with shrugged :( I almost get red to be honest. My grandpa said just ok and order the new one, so we have to pay 2 for this dish!
Once we called for the bill, there was the annoucement the get 10% if you check in the restaurant via your facebook, i did and show her (the same woman) she siad no as the picture just only the customers faces, you have to take a photo with the sign of that discount (oh my god! I sware there is no that condition noticing on the sign) i did according her verbal condition, taking a new photos and checked in (this meaned very much cause our totals cost is more than 300 usd roughly) She walked to the cashier and came back with full amount without discount and she siad “sorry I forget” I did’t let it go i ask her to return back my discount, she just leaving us to the cashier and came back with “sorry you used credit card so the discount is not applied” whattttttttt???? I am ok with no discount but I am not ok with that woman who tricky on us and look lazy all the time No more for this place...
Read moreWalking into this Southern Thai spot in Nakhon Sri Thammarat is like stepping into a sauna that serves food—spicy, sizzling, and surprisingly welcoming. The air is thick with the scent of chili, lemongrass, and what I can only describe as “aromatic danger.”
Let’s talk about the Klua Gling. This dish doesn’t mess around. It’s dry curry in theory, but in practice? It’s a full-body experience. One bite and you’re rethinking every life decision that led you here—mostly in a good way. The minced pork is coated in a furious, fiery blend of southern spices, but it’s all smoothed over with a whisper of turmeric and just enough salt to bring you back to Earth.
Then there’s the deep-fried sand fish. Simple. Humble. And yet… it’s basically fish bacon. Crispy, salty, golden perfection. It crackles like a campfire in your mouth and leaves you wondering if it’s socially acceptable to order it three times in a row (it is).
The restaurant itself? Nothing fancy—plastic chairs, tiled floor, a fan that might be older than the chef. But that’s the charm. The auntie at the counter will smile at you like you’re her long-lost nephew before casually torching your taste buds.
Verdict: Worth it. Spicy, soulful, and unapologetically southern. Come for the heat, stay for the fish, and prepare to sweat like you’re doing penance for all your...

Asked for non-spicy seafood dipping sauce to go with the grilled shrimp that I ordered 1 kg.
But the chef didn't make it because there was only spicy, but there was a sign that said "If you don't eat spicy, please inform the staff."
Answers in order
Staff: The shop doesn't have non-spicy dipping sauce, but I'll try asking for it.
Me: Could you please make me a cup of non-spicy seafood dipping sauce? My child doesn't eat spicy food.
Staff: The shop doesn't have non-chili seafood dipping sauce.
Me: That means the chef didn't make it. (Then the young lady smiled and walked away.)
So I had to go to the cashier and ask for the manager. The answer I got was
"There's no manager at the shop. The owner is taking care of it himself, but he hasn't come in yet."
So I told him that I wanted non-spicy seafood dipping sauce.
Cashier: The shop doesn't have non-spicy dipping sauce.
Me: Please ask the chef to make it.
Cashier: They have to grind it a dozen times.
Me: Just use a mortar and pestle to pound it. It's just one small cup.
Then I went back to sit down and the staff brought it to me.
But one of the cooks came out and stared at me. I made eye contact with her, as if she was very angry.
Conclusion
The waiters were good and always smiling. The food was very delicious. The atmosphere was good, there was parking, and there was an air-conditioned room.
