An awesome cafe shop with a vintage look. They didn't dissemble the old Mill and kept it for people to take photo off. I think it's a clever idea. The look pretty new. I bet they just open several months ago at best. They have an outdoor area built along the bank of the river. It has a very wonderful view. It would have been a lot.cooler at the evening than the afternoon. Summer really a pain sometimes coz you could not enjoy the outdoor view long under the hot atmosphere. They also has a room for rent to stay next to the river. They also serve food but it is on a expensive side of the menu. It's a great place to drop by and enjoy your cool drink after biking under the sun. Also a great photo shooting place. I bet a lot of people gonna like it. You can get directly to the coffee shop by riding a boat from Wat Pak Khlong. They also have bicycle for rent. If you go on boat you need to take the one with the green flag so that you can get to a final pier and hop on another boat 2B/person to the island. You won't find the boat with green flag under Saparn Taksin but the local told me you can actually find it at the river bank in front of Saparn Taksin. The price is gonna be 15B/person fixed price. If you cannot find the green flag boat you can also take the orange flag boat but you might need to continue with a bus number 32 ride to pier at the Pagoda. Or when you arrive at the last pier of orange flag boat, there will he guys trying to seeling you a small boat trip to the island. It is a small boat and cannot fit for 5 people. they don't tell me the price since I go with 5 people. You can find place to rent a bike on the island when you arrive. The island is nice and a great...
Read morevery disappointed. we read the reviews and decided to walk the 45mins from our homestay to get there. I don't know if we got the 'b team' as it was a Monday night, but our experience was poor. One of us ordered the crab meat curry - this was presented as a whole crab doused in a red sauce. It was very messy to eat ( no claw crackers or bowl of water) and the sauce was essentially a wishy washy tomato soup. Outrageously priced at 800 Baht. My husband ordered pork green curry. The sauce was not tasty and the meat was cut poorly, with gristle and fat included (400 Baht) I ordered chicken coconut soup. Whilst it had a nice flavour, there was about a small drumstick worth of cheap chicken meat that included gristle and was tough. This was the most reasonably priced at 200Baht. We also got a plate of mixed veg that was pretty lifeless and lacked flavour. All up, our bill was 2,150 Baht, including two beers and a coke. We were also expecting to use the restaurant boat to get back to our island accommodation afterwards ( as highlighted in their promotions and done by the Thai couple who left before us), but instead a noisy, unsafe- looking river taxi was called and he wanted 200 Baht to take us around the corner. All up, an entirely unsatisfactory experience and I would not...
Read moreIf I could give 6 stars, I would. For those who’ve rated this place poorly, I genuinely wonder—have they ever eaten Thai food outside the comfort zone of central Bangkok?
Rongsi Studio in Ko Kret offers a level of freshness, care, and ingredient quality that easily surpasses most standard Thai eateries in the city. Every dish feels intentional, balanced, and deeply rooted in authenticity—without being overdone.
Yes, the service team doesn’t speak English—but let’s be real: you’re in Ko Kret, not Thonglor. And with a translation app, everything went smoothly. What mattered most? The food arrived quickly and was absolutely outstanding.
Yes ok, the chicken was pre cooked same as the pork neck steak, but at least I didn’t felt sick, were the only 2 items dry..
To those who judge a restaurant by how full it is at the time they walk in: you’re missing the point. Great food doesn’t always need a crowd—it just needs the right ingredients and someone who knows what they’re doing.
Highly recommended for real food lovers—not just...
