The Palms Restaurant — Restaurant in Pattaya City

The palms restaurant is a great place for dinner or lunch. Coming from the US and have been in Pattaya over a week. I was hankering for some good old meat and potatoes. ( I'm not a take pictures of my food kind of guy, I wish I would have) My brother had the chicken and ham meat pie with mashed potatoes and beans. He loved it. ( the gravy comes on the side in a gravy boat) I had the pork chop, mashed potatoes, gravy and beans. The pork chop was marinated and spiced so well I wouldn't dare put gravy on it. Same with the mashed potatoes. You can't get mashed potatoes in the US that good. I had a difficult time getting the address into the app to get our ride there. I am so glad I took a little extra time to figure out how to get there. What a great place to have a little piece of home. I'm told they have great Seafood as well. Of course they have cold cocktails and beer. ( they use the good filtered ice, you know it's filtered when it has a hole through the middle. For those that are worried about drinking local water) The owner speaks pretty good English too. Thank you very much guys for a great lunch and conversation. We will see...

Had an average meal here with my wife and stayed to have a few beers with a few other older guests who were tourists in Pattaya and had been here several times before. I dont like the bar tab system in general that operates throughout Pattaya and through experience always pay whether they like it or not after a maximum of 3 drinks. I did this here but upon leaving was given 3 separate bar chits totalling over 1100 baht for drinks that I had NOT purchased. The owners who appeared friendly on the surface showed their colours when I went to leave by insisting the outstanding bill belonged to me. Fortunately the other patrons I was sitting with and has just finished eating intervened on my behalf and told their fellow English compatriot owner and Thai wife, that the bill was nonsense and that they had just watched me settle my bill 10 minutes prior. The Thai wife then backed down and said ok don't worry about it. My advice should you go here, be very careful in checking your bill if drinking and pay as you go as they were definitely trying their luck on with me and things could have gotten ugly very quickly if not for...

What a gem of a place ploy and Tim made myself and bernie my partner feel very welcome and we become friends.The food is out of this world and so cheap the homemade chips are amazing and breakfast was best in pattaya by a mile my partner refused to eat anywhere else and have a vast array of options on menu from traditional Thai to English pork chop gammon pies everything u need drink prices are very cheap and atmosphere in place is amazing the staff SON and BEAU went above and beyond for everyone amazing customer service and free pool table football on large TV and all round best place to go in pattaya thanks again Tim and ploy for everything and can't wait to see u next year anyone in area should give this place a try you won't be disappointed love Greg...
