Tree Tales Cafe Pattaya — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Sometimes your experience isn't as good as others. Things go wrong at every step. We walked in on a windy and relatively cold day. Main hall was occupied by customers and we sat down in patio but wind there was so gusty and strong that we decided to move inside. Luckily there was an empty hall with AC off. Not hot, not cold - perfect. We were waiting for our desserts as a Thai couple walked in and stuff decided to turn AC on. It was getting colder and we asked to turn it off again. As I understand, the Thai couple didn't mind but staff decided to keep it on. We felt uncomfortable and asked stuff to provide us some blankets or allow to move to the 2nd floor where AC was also turned off. They declined. We had nothing to do except leave this place.

Also there was some mess with our order. I asked for Chocoholic that was pictured in menu in a high glass with whipped cream top. They brought some ordinary cup that was looked like cappuccino. I don't know why did they decide to change glass to cup but of course when I order I want to get what I ordered including whipped cream and of course...

This is a great cafe to visit even though it’s not located in the popular areas in Pattaya. Starting with food: I had 2 mains and 1 dessert due to the limitations of a single stomach (within my calories burning limits… 🤣). Truffled mushroom fettuccine, crispy pork belly with spicy watermelon, banana cake. Special mention to the spicy watermelon; it’s really umami with the savoury spicy and sour sauce, complimenting the sweetness of the juicy fruit. A great burst of flavours. Second would be the banana cake. As dirty and unattractive as it seems, it awesomely delicious, with every mouth filled with the sweet aroma of bananas, coupled with the balanced and nutty coffee, it’s a great way to start the day. Service was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere is calm and peaceful, spacious and comfy. They have indoor and outdoor seatings. Healthy and interesting range of delicious food, drinks, and desserts. Friendly staff. Very beautiful decorations. Large range of seating.

Negatives: would prefer a wider range of vegetarian options, or maybe the ability to make existing choices vegetarian by swapping bacon or sausage for other suitable things. They have a wide range of seating but upstairs and the room next door appeared to be unusable for no apparent reason, I quite like the look of one of the rooms with sofa seating, which would have been an ideal environment for me to study in, but sadly staff would not allow me to use that room, maybe because there weren't many customers. My wife had used that room before when the cafe was busier.

Pricing is acceptable. Their granola is super delicious by the way!
