Das Meer Restaurant Khao Lak — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

One of the best thai restaurants I have ever been. The food is so delicious and great seasoned. Every single meal has its own unique taste. The portions are large and the meals were served really hot.

In ten days we ate 5 evenings there. I think that’s saying a lot about the quality.

Don’t get confused by the name. There isn’t any German food or heritage. The owner told us, he was looking for a name like “the sea”, “the beach”. And so he found the German word “das Meer”.

What you have to overlook. The timing of the food for a table isn’t that perfect. Sometimes you have to wait a bit longer than usual and sometimes not everyone has at the same time it’s meal. But the staff works hard and they really won’t to give you a perfect experience. But anyways: 5 stars.

Really nice place with great food. Though their are a stuff on the menu they don't have. Most is shown but it also happens that don't have certain things. Especially cocktails. Though they always have wine which some of the other places in the area don't.

The service is a bit slow especially if a lot people have ordered food. I would say if you come and if 4 people or less are waiting for food definitely try but if more then go somewhere else unless you want to wait almost an hour from you arrive.
