Lovely, lovely place. Other reviewers sum up the restaurant adequately (it's awesome). However the herbal sauna is incredible. I'm from a state where sauna in all seasons are quite popular but I've never seen one like this. They have a set up with multiple steam saunas that pipe in steam heavily infused with lemongrass, cardamon and hibiscus that he prepares himself. Takes about 30 min from the time you request the sauna experience to when it's ready to rock and it gets hotter and steamier as time goes on. Outside they have a few showers and a lovely pool. So you can make a circuit of the three. We went in the blazing hot sun on the way back from swimming in the ocean and also went at night and enjoyed the sounds of the surrounding jungle and either way you cut it this place is fantastic. The owner and his family are great. We were staying just down the road and he even ran us back to our place on his moped + sidecar one night. Check...
Read moreMia and Zea are wonderful people. They really took care of me while I stayed at their bungalow for almost three weeks. When I left for two days, I could leave my luggage at their place, which was really kind. Mia is an excellent cook, I tried a lot of different dishes and I always liked it. I did a cooking class as well. The Six Senses Beach is in 10-15 minutes walking distance and one of the best beaches on the island. Sometimes there are no other people around - and that happened in February! When you go back in the late afternoon, you should definitely use mosquito repellent - these mosquitoes are the only annoying thing on the island. I had to work on my computer a lot, there is a table with one chair at each bungalow. The WiFi is good enough to do normal computer work. You can always go in the restaurant with best internet connections and AC if you want. The island is calm and not touristy, which is amazing. I hope it stays like...
Read moreWhat a magic place! The owners are the most hospitable couple - they grow their fruits and vegetables without chemicals on the premises and offer an extensive, delicious menu. They will walk you around the garden and teach you about local produce. Not to mention the herbal sauna, prepared personally for you with a panoply of herbs from the garden. We highly recommend starting and finishing the experience with their natural herbal tea with tempura bananas and the sweetest passion fruits you’ve ever tasted right off the vine. There are nice bungalows as well should one wish to stay the night. We will come back to Koh Yao Noi just to visit Lok Mun again. Really a...
