During the time of Covid19, the Beach Cha-Am Cafe is "ok".
The hours of operation are a bit erratic, the upstairs dining area with the nice view is closed on the evening we visited and the menu seems to be limited or some items are out of stock.
We dropped in for dinner on Saturday night and my daughter wanted some "farang food". The cafe was out of burgers. She opted for penne pasta with Bolognese sauce. We also ordered stir-fried beef in oyster sauce and "pad cha seafood". We started with the bruschetta.
Some cocktails were also nice.
The food taste was above average but the prices seemed a bit high. The penne pasta dish was 220 Baht. Maybe it's the Beach Road premium.
The waitresses were friendly, but they seemed a bit distracted even though we were the only customers. They made it clear that the restaurant would be closing at 8:00 pm. Is this early closing time a Covid19 rule in Cha-Am?

Breakfast on the 1st day wasn't great (2 small cold slices of toast, 1 cold half- fried egg and 2 cheap low quality mini sausages. They didn't bother to bring sugar or creamer for my coffee). My Thai wife ordered a Thai breakfast ( rice porridge). She barely touched her bowl as the first spoonful was enough to put her off the rest of it. Service on the 2nd day was awful. We waited about 40 minutes for the standard breakfast. We left without receiving a meal or an apology for the delay. We returned the vouchers and will not visit this...

My polite request however got categorically refused by more than one person. I'm flabbergasted by the absence of service awareness of this company. I will certainly never return, not to the hotel, not for coffee and not for food. Good job on chasing away a returning customer over a cup...
