Jintana Service — Restaurant in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya City Municipality

The first time we went in on a weekday during afternoon (3pm) the place was open with some fans on and tv was running. After waiting for a while and walking to the kitchen door yelling "hello" there was no response so we had to leave.

Because of the good reviews here we went back another day, there were 2 patrons this time. So we sat down again and waited. After 10 minutes or so a sweet elderly woman appeared and came to take our orders. It seemed like she was running the place on her own so be prepared to wait!

Food was delicious and portion size ok, good green curry with tofu! (Notice that on the menu the first green curry that is listed is something else than the traditional "soup style" one which I got. So what I ordered was on the second or third page...

Great vegan and vegetarian options. We tried 3 dishes - their menu can accept any protein, we got tofu and all the curries and fried rices were delicious. They seem to be open late, to accommodate trains. We came here at 6:30p on a Thursday and they were open.

Not expensive, each meal about 50 baht. Smaller than usual portions, though, for a (fit) western man you should order 2 meals. One meal is about 1 cup of rice with additional veg/tofu etc.

Very kind people. Can make not spicy if you ask. Seems to be all westerners eating here but food is genuine Thai by the spices.

We tried coconut shake, they use real fruit crushed with ice, no sugar added....

Extremely Good Value near Ayutthaya Train Station.

After visited the temples and while waiting for the train back to Bangkok, we found this little cosy restaurant located only few meters in front of the train station. Do not judge the restaurant based on its exterior/interior. We sampled the green curry with fried rice and both tasted very delicious. The fruit smoothies are amazingly refreshing. The food reminded me of comfy home-cooked meals. The staffs are very friendly, helpful and one of the lady allowed us to charge our phone. We decided to left some tips because we truly satisfied and it was unbelievably cheap. Highly recommend for...
