Eureka Beach Cafe Hua-Hin — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Absolutely zero comprehension of customer service. Staying in Hua Hin, but saw pictures on Google and it looked idealic. Arrived and the place was empty and absolutely beautiful. So isolated and so different from nearby Hua Hin. Unfortunately, the young staff had loud "crap pop" blaring out. I politely asked if they would turn the "crap pop" off. They turned it down a little. Once again, I asked if they could turn it off, if only for a short while. The young girl said "Cannot". After a brief discussion, an older staff member intervened and told her to turn it off. Bliss. All I could hear was the birds singing. 5 minutes later two other guests turned up and the staff cranked the music up full again. The kids and I were going to have dinner here, but they literally drove me away. It is a difficult 30 minutes drive from Hua Hin. It is worth that for the peacefulness of the location. But, if you have to listen to awful loud music, you might as well stay in Hua Hin because the peacefulness is ruined. Not worth the one hour round trip. The Condo next door...

Eureka: A Disastrous Dining Experience I had an absolutely dreadful experience at Eureka. From the moment I arrived, I felt unwelcome and completely disregarded. I had made a reservation for a table for six people outside in the shade, and I had specifically mentioned that I am a wheelchair user. Despite this, the restaurant made absolutely no preparations whatsoever. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an impolite waitress wearing a cap and sunglasses, who was visibly unwilling to rearrange tables to accommodate our needs. The rest of the staff, numbering six or more, were completely uninterested and inattentive. I had dined at Eureka two years prior and had a positive experience. However, this time around, the menu boasted a large selection of pasta dishes, which one would expect to be a safe bet. Unfortunately, the pasta was undercooked. I was utterly disappointed that a restaurant could not even manage to cook pasta properly. My advice: Avoid this place at all costs. If I could give a zero-star...

This place was difficult to review, and this is why : Food is very delicious, so is their cakes and drinks. Location is picturesque at the beach front, but...... And now comes the big BUT that makes me unable to give anymore than 3 stars. The service is terrible, seriously. It's almost impossible to get the attention of the staff who are busy looking at their phones and talking to each other. At one point, a staff standing making fresh pasta noticed I was waving my hand to get the attention of the staff, but she didn't bother to call for one of the other staff to take our additional orders. (Contact with customers was clearly not one of her duties, pasta-making and pasta only was) My impression is, the staff here are incredibly lazy, and they seem troubled taking the orders that essentially pays their salary.
