Together Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

While the mechanics were checking my car at the Lor Service Benz BMW garage a few doors down the street, I decided to chill out at Together Bakery & Cafe.

The staff told me that the Coconut Cake is their signature dish. So, I got a piece with a Cafe Americano. The cake was light and fluffy and tasted "coconutty". The coffee seemed "average" and a bit bitter. I asked for a small side of steamed milk, but they gave me cold milk.

The cafe seems to be a multi generation family business with a grandmother, parents and kids. I got a weird vibe like I was intruding into their private living room.

I didn't feel completely welcome - I felt like they were "indifferent"

The cafe space is a double shophouse wide room with a tile floor and mostly white walls. The grandmother and little boy were playing dominoes on the coffee table by the sofa, so I sat at a small table with fake rattan chairs. I would have been more comfortable on the sofa.

This place is really well air conditioned! And they pointed a fan at me, so I cooled down really quickly from my walk from the garage.

The free WiFi is also decent.

One thing that is curious is that they have a full bar with all sorts of alcohol but this is a cafe that is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. They have a cocktail menu. It must be for the lunchtime alcoholics. But aside from cakes, there's no food here. It's weird.

This cafe will be on my list when I have to visit the nearby garage. I think the family running this place will warm up to new customers as they get to know them.

For a piece of cake and a coffee, expect to pay close...

Not a very friendly place! Closing the adjacent street for their party caused parents of children of the nursery in that street to have to stop and unload their children on a very busy main road. If this is how little they think of the community, I will avoid this business and buy coffee from one of the other many good...

Coconut cake is a must. This cafe is very well-known from this cake. The taste is not too sweet. The cake is soft and delicious.

The location is in the main walking street at night time, opposite to a seafood restaurant. If you come here in the morning/afternoon, it will be easier to be found with not too crowded people...
