What I liked about this place: Large menu with many options. Other than seafood, it has other meat dishes English menu Low prices Relaxing atmosphere created by low tables and chairs in front of the beach
What I didn't: Very poor order taking created by language barrier. Despite having an English menu, the restaurant staff do not speak English. We pointed to the drink we wanted in the menu. The waiter identified the drink below it. We corrected him by pointing out to him again the right item. He ended up bringing us two drinks. Also, we told him we wanted the small version of a certain dish. We even repeated the price in Thai, just so he wouldn't make a mistake. He ended up bringing us the large version. Mistake in final payment. The cashier passed us a bill that listed the wrong price for one of our dishes. We showed her the menu to confirm the price. To her credit, she accepted this mistake readily and corrected the final bill. Make sure you check the bill before payment at this place. Verdict - this place is not recommended for foreigners who do not speak much Thai, like us. Too many problems can result from miscommunication and...
Read moreCasual and laid back with seating on plastic chairs or beanbags on the beach. I had Chicken and cashew nuts which I found good. Medium sized fried rice was very large. This is perhaps unfair to the restaurant but I've had the misfortune of a bad seafood experience in Thailand and as a result I'm perhaps overly cautious where choosing to eat seafood. The restaurant has a nice new sign on the road which seems completely at odds with the condition of the menus and I do believe a very small investment in getting new menus printed would serve the restaurant well in...
