THE SHORE — Restaurant in Rayong Province

Yesterday we ordered plates of spaghetti (carbonara and bolognese), penne, and salade niçoise. The quality was as expected but not exactly the taste. The salade niçoise and the dessert (brownie with ice cream) were delicious. Contrastingly the pasta was not as we expected from an Italian restaurant. The taste of the carbonara was off, not bad but not carbonara and sweet. Idem with the penne and the bolognese. Later, the spaghetti was heavy on the stomach. I hope we were not lucky yesterday and that most of the time the food is good and appreciated. Price/quality ratio did not work...

The Shore is a restaurant in the Hotel Novotel Rayong Rim Pae. It is an open air place - situated on the pool side and provided with some tables near the beach therefore the atmosphere is great. They serve not only western foods but also various choices of Thai foods, both are tasty. Recommend - beef steak, fish steak, seafood bisque and pizza. This restaurant is very convenient for resort guests. Our family certainly enjoyed not having to leave the resort for dinner and eat a meal by the pool.

The food was good. However, the price seemed high, especially for the Thai dishes.
