Of all the coffee joints in all the towns in all the world, I'm glad I walked into this one (thanks Bogart). I must admit I really enjoy Lord of Coffee. They understand the traditional European cappuccino that follows the rule of thirds - one third each of espresso, milk, foam. If cappuccinos were the only item they sold I would continue my loyal patronage. However, their desserts are also worth noting especially for freshness.
The charm of the place reminds you you're in Thailand. Its earthy look of stone, wood tables and chairs, and Forresty foliage give a sense of seclusion while you recharge. Some of the folks behind the counter speak English and enjoy an opportunity to chat a little when not busy.
Tips: Get a seat next to a fan to keep the mosquitoes away / Ask for the "illy cappuccino" because illy brand beans are great / Try the deserts, especially the cheesecakes. Really! / Get their coffee stamp card if you plan to visit often.
