HoiZapp Seafood — Restaurant in Si Sunthon

The seafood is fresh and raw oysters are high quality. Service was helpful and quite efficient. It's on a busy road, and the interior is comfortable.

We also had green mango salad (yam mak muang), yellow curry of mussels and green chaproo leaves (gaeng hoi kua bai chaproo), and squid in black ink (pad meuk kai nahm dahm).

The mussels and squid were juicy and fresh.

All the dishes were very sweet, sugar dominated everything. Mango salad dressing wasn't acidic. The mango was coarsely cut rather than shredded. There were large chunks of onion in the fried squid.

The oysters came on a small bed of crushed ice, with more on top which had the unfortunate effect of leaving them swimming in water. Even after draining them, most still tasted watery.

I would come here again for the oysters (฿19 each) but not the food, and I'd ask them not to spread ice on...

When I finally went, I ordered the fresh oysters, which are like their signature dish or something. They're super cheap, like 19 baht, but they taste amazing. The oysters are huge, sweet, and not fishy at all. And when you eat them with the side dish, it's like you're eating them right out of the ocean.
