Rua Bai Restaurant — Restaurant in Songkhla Province

To me this is the best hangout spot along the Songkhla beach. The others are not up to par, maybe I'm not their audience.

Here the food is good, drinks good, at least not watered down, great service. And one can hold a conversation here.

The waitresses are friendly, although English is limited. For those who want, sometimes there are single ladies sitting by the bar.

The are ample parking for those who drive.

The outdoor upper deck is a good place to sit, and the live band is there. Also it's a no-smoking zone here.

What's great? Probably the best Thai food I had in Hat yai/ Songkhla region. Lime fish is fresh, but beware the chilli! Prawn cake, Broccoli shrimps yummy, ordered 2 portions. Best service by the friendly ladies, some of them can speak English. Live band at night with lovely singer. Hoegarden beer is fresh. Mango juice, comes with half a mango hanging on the straw! Pad see Ew cam be ordered outside the menu, taste great!

What's to improve? Nothing!

Visit again? Absolutely. And visit more then...

Terrific location with a sea view best seen in the late afternoon while there's light.

Food was good but the main menu is all in Thai, no English translation. 👎 Also they only sell small bottles of beer, no big bottles ☹

After paying the bill the change included a suspiciously huge amount of ten & five baht coins. I presume the intention is you'll grab the notes but leave all coins on the plate. 🤨
