หอมข้าว — Restaurant in Sukhothai Province

This restaurant was recommended to me by the owner of the hotel I am staying in. Without his advice, I wouldn’t have known of its existence, AND it deserves to be well known!

A pleasant twenty-minute walk finds you surrounded by rice fields and, in the midst of them, on the side of the road is หอมข้าว (Fragrant rice).

For the Pad Kaphrao I was hesitating between shrimp (or prawn, if you prefer) and squid, when I was told that they didn’t have enough shrimp and offered to mix it with squid, I was delighted.

Both dishes were truly delicious, as was the butterfly pea flower cordial (of which I had two!).

Het restaurant is niet heel makkelijk te vinden maar echt de moeite waard en je kan er makkelijk via Grab komen. Het restaurant is gelegen midden tussen de rijstvelden wat een uniek uitzicht geeft.
