l am sorry to say that but that was not the best service it was more one of the worse, the man who seem to be the owner,who made a mistake in the end he tried to get more money out of us. More then 1000 baht and after redoing the bill it was under 900 baht, it is unbelievable how he tired to do that without accepting his mistake and he did it on purpose. He was claiming that the prices at the menu carts was for thai people and for tourists and CHINESE people there whould be other prices he is making. That he was assuming that we are Chinese and discriminated us because of that is not how things work these days.He should not have done that and just accept that he has made a mistake on his side and we could have end it in a nice way but he throw the menu down on the table saying he does not care and was agressive. Menu choices range from Italian pizza and pasta, steaks to Thai food . Smoothies and ice cream dessert were available as well. The Chef/owner previously trained in the kitchens of the Shangri-la hotel in Bangkok, and takes pride in serving quality food. My wife and I were quite hungry after riding bicycles around Sukhothai National park in the heat of April. We had the lab Sukhothai and a side of fries as starters. The lab Sukhothai is their signature dish, a spicy fried pork dish with olive leaves. The spaghetti bolognese, which was a la dente, and the Thai green curry beef dish with rice were our main courses. In addition, we washed down the meal with a banana pineapple smoothie and green tea latte. Food bill was around 500 baht. PS. A year later while passing Sukhothai I made the visit of this rare restaurant my priority again, and I decided after the outstanding meal, the fresh lively chat with the man and woman chefs, my enjoyment of the unique atmosphere, it was not only fantastic here, but possibly my favourite restaurant in the complete big country.
In short if I were Thai and saw such passion, love and joy by other Thai people like of the chefs here, I would be tremendously proud of my people. And not being Thai, I like them and their work just as much. Stay well!
