This place is exactly what I wanted to experience. A local simple eatery with good authentic Thai food by honest "salt of the earth" people. I came out from the tourist area expressly to encounter this. As a silly Farang I walked up to ask for a menu and a gentleman from behind the table jumped up in a helpful way and showed the various large pots of food to choose from and explained which might be too spicy. I chose a yellow curry chicken and a spicy fish stew. It was excellent with two plates of rice (I came for seconds) a bottle of Coke and two dessert treats to take away for the beach.
