This restaurant is located in the floating city of sea gypsies. (There are a total of 2 restaurants in the town, each on one side.)
You can dine here at sunset, or perhaps combine exploring the town, where various species of fish and other marine animals are kept in nets right in the water.
We opted for the less "scented" one, we found it more authentic. That is, near to the fishing pier.
The restaurant has a beautiful view of the clear sea and the atmosphere of the marine world permeates every meter.
Although everyone smiles at you when you arrive, the service at your table was not very nice and a bit sour.
There was confusion with our order and it was mixed up. However, I must also say that the complaint was immediately upheld and everything was accepted and I give the restaurant credit.
We were a little worried that someone would claim it when we left, but everything was handled professionally.
As far as food is concerned, there is really a whole selection of all kinds of sea creatures and different specialties. One would think that the price would be favourable, but the opposite is true, you pay for quality ;).

However, it is good to find here also a person who does not want to spend so much.
I recommend the fried rice with seafood, we had the smallest one for 100baths and it was really serving you, moreover with so much seafood I haven't had in a whole year!
I had an oyster omelette and was most satisfied.
For me, the food was perfect, so I really didn't understand what my friend ordered.
The most expensive dish of all, which was the grilled calamari, it was dry and not very good. What was in the fried rice was much, much better.
In conclusion, I would like to point out that I recommend the restaurant and it is definitely worth a visit. If you have a trip, you should not...
Read moreThe fish tasted delicious and the prices were very good. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, but most importantly were happy and smiling. The pictures show two separate visits. On the first visit we chose fish fried with garlic and pepper, and also fish steamed with garlic and ginger. Both were delicious but the fried fish was the best. On the second visit I chose shrimp stir fried with yellow curry paste and a second dish of stir fried vegetables. I highly recommend...
Read moreThe intention & attention is obvious upon walking in to Chonticha. The setting on the dock was not only picturesque but so interesting! The fishing boats, nets and the people the work with them abound, the fruits of their labor presented excellently. Our server was wonderful & we left so happy about the experience I had to write a review. The best meal we’ve had in our travels through Ko Chang & Koh Kood. Very special place- wishing much...
