This is the real deal seafood restaurant at the end of the road on Koh Kood island. The Noochy restaurant is located in a stilt fishing village at the end of the road on the far side of Koh Kood. Parking for motorbikes at the top of the floating village , just off the road. You can take a songtow as well. Walk down the long walkway and follow the signs. The wonderful smells of seafood cooking lead you the rest of the way 😋 Greeting service was fast and efficient with no wait time during lunch hours. We were seated along the rail overlooking the water. The restaurant is located over the water on a floating platform in the harbor. Noochy looks like the restaurant can seat upwards of 50 or so people. There was a mix of farang and local Thai...generally a good sign.👍. I ordered the soft shelled crab and the steamed whole sea bass. Both were served quickly, and both were excellent. The fried soft shelled crab 🦀 had a wonderful blend of seasonings with just the right amount of chili kick. The sea bass was steamed and then marinated in lime ginger and garlic . It was served piping hot in its own heated marinade bath and was auper tender and delicious.....WOW WOW. Update...April 2025...I went back again the next day for the oyster omelet, the uni....yum!!!! , and the very unique hot pot!......Absolutely delicious 😋 Prices were a bit higher than other local restaurants but worth it 💯 %. Restrooms 🚻 available. Handicap ♿️ doable and recommended. There is a longer walk down to the restaurant from the road but very doable . Final take....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. It's worth the beautiful drive for the superfresh seafood and the ambiance of the floating platform in this small stilt house fishing village. Memorable experience...

Came here for lunch on a whim. Ordered fried soft shell crab, salt and chili shrimp, and gaeng kua sapparot with shrimp. All three dishes were excellent and the portions were very generous, but the gaeng kua was exceptional - fiery and sweet with the perfect amount of acidity to provide balance. The Thai gf also approved and now wants to go back to Koh Kood just to eat the gaeng kua 😂.
Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is part of a fishing village on the east side of the island. It sits in a very picturesque bay that's surrounded by mountains that are covered in jungle.
Price for these three dishes plus two sides of rice and two soft drinks was around 1100 baht, so not cheap, but pretty in line with most restaurants on the island. The difference being that here the food actually delivers.
There's also an excellent coffee shop connected to the restaurant that served the best coffee I had on the island.
Overall we were both very,...
Read moreThis place is a must visit on Koh kood, service is excellent, food is so fresh and delicious. Outstanding oysters, scallops, and the soft shell crab is one of the best dishes ever. I will say I thought I'd be adventurous at try the catfish egg soup and it turns out I'm not that adventurous- it's definitely an acquired taste. The hidden gem though is the drinks. Marie's Land is the shop that makes drinks and what they deliver is truly an art form, I really recommend trying as many of their drinks as possible. I took points off for ambiance because while the view is awesome there are some serious mosquitos so bring bug spray and wear long sleeves. Also if it's stormy outside this place has no walls so you will want to sit in the middle of the restaurant and maybe bring a sweater/extra layer. Overall way worth it though and I would...
