Great go-to eatery. Ate here nearly every day, breakfast/lunch/dinner. Delicious pad Thai. Good Thai iced black coffee. Cold fresh coconuts 70 baht. Decent price cold Chang beer. Great fresh fruit plate. Amazing fresh fish prepared in different Thai styles. Friendly family local Thai restaurant. Seating under shade with fans . There’s mosquitos in the area but they have complimentary mosquito coils and spray to use. The customer toilet is simple and kept clean, with hand soap. They also provide laundry service and rent motorbikes here. However We would say don’t dine in the rush hour between 7-8 pm as we waited 2 hours and had beers but never received our food. Don’t go here if you’re hungry and want food authentic Thai food.

A full restaurant full of customers drew us in. Sadly the food and service disappointed. Incredibly slow for Thai food and when arrived very bland and not authentic in any way. Red Thai curry tasted like cow milk with some spice, was my 3rd week in Thailand and the worst meal I’ve had. Price is cheap for this island but would not recommend. Khun Mam's kitchen was a lovely discovery. (as is off the main thread that most will venture). Recommended to this place by info counter. Visited for lunch. Try the local cuisine. It was a delicious authentic meal, attesting the chef's quality. Must visit if you seek authentic Thai. Ask for spicy as Thai should be.
