Private area leading to a beach. There's a spot before the entrance asking to park bikes. We parked and came in to have a look. The owner chased us to buy something before stepping foot on the beach. When we went to have a look at the beach she said we need to walk back to move the bikes. Unpleasant attitude, and ironically a sign that says respect is more important than money. Had the sign said parking for customers only would have been nice. There's an attempt to turn a public beach (like all Thai beaches) into a private one while blocking the entrance to it.

The beach itself was litterred with trash which made leaving less disappointing. Had the attitude been less obnoxious and the beach nicer we would have been happy to have a drink but we won't patronize places like this. See other similar reviews which we wish we would have read.

Edit : the beach isn't private and the parking didn't indicate being private. In fact it's just a sign saying park here on grass with no shade or anything else like a parking spot. Immediately upon emerging from the path we were accosted by the owner. We didn't use any of the facilities and actually would have considered having a drink if the beach was nice, but the immediate attempt to get us to sit at a table was off putting.

We went to the beach next door at Koh Kood club. Cleaner beach, nobody harassed us, so we walked a bit then sat and had some drinks there. That's how you get customers

And no lady you don't own the beach. You were able to get a private road which is how a lot of islands around Thailand get destroyed. A person patronizing this place would be contributing to the attempt to privatize beautiful...

Made a stop here like we always do when on holidays here on Koh kut, as it’s a lovely place with average coffee. When we arrived the coffee shop was unattended and usually there is a contact number hanging on door to call when unattended, but today there wasn't.

While my family and I were there we decided to park up our bikes at the coffee shop and take a swim in the sea and enjoy the public beach while we wait for the owner to come as it’s one of the best beaches on Koh kut. Soon after we had finished swimming the owner arrived at the coffee shop in a very emotional state and proceeded to shout at my family and I in a very threatening tone saying the business is closed, that she owned all the land around there and that we can’t access the beach from here. She then proceeded to accuse my family and I of trespassing and breaking down a bamboo stick to gain access to the beach. We tried to explain that the bamboo stick being elevated horizontally across two fence posts at 2 meters high in the air and not blocking access isn’t a clear or obvious sign not to enter. If there was a “no entry sign” or “closed sign” up, or the bamboo stick was clearly blocking access to the club; we would not have entered.

We left the premises promptly after the encounter, but the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. Needless to say we won’t be back here anytime soon which is disappointing as we used to...

My first time in Koh Kut island, my international family who I hadn’t seen in ages due to Co-Vid restrictions etc. brought me here as they told me how wonderful the island is. They recommend this coffee shop as it was at a very beautiful beach, as being in Thailand access to places at times can be quite difficult & not always straight forward. So when we arrived at the entrance there was the sign for the coffee shop (nothing to say no access or no entry anywhere) & a very high single bamboo stick that you could drive under on a motorcycle, so we did. When we got to the beach the coffee shop looked closed & there was no signage to say anything about being open or closed. So we enjoyed the beach instead but then this irate lady arrived & was very abusive & rude to us, raised voice & threatening us! We are not local & there was no signage & therefore her behaviour was totally unacceptable! There is a nice way to speak to a potential customers, & let them know something etc. I would not recommend this business, I rarely post negative reviews but this persons behaviour was...

Unique little oasis on Ao Prao Beach. My experience was the same as many others have mentioned. Kind owners, delicious food, and drinks, an exquisite location, and the music! This place has increased my personal playlist. Like other people have said, the sound system is the best around and the music at the perfect volume. They make their own bread most days, except for the rare day when the temperature outside is too cold for the bread to rise properly The sandwiches are absolutely delicious. I like the smoked salmon and cream cheese with capers and other vegetables, all crisp and fresh. Thai food is also excellent.. The cappuccinos are delicious. Yesterday I had a young coconut that was perfect. My introduction to what has become a cherished friendship, was being stranded here during a rain storm for several hours. They welcomed me into their home, where we got to know each other on beanbag chairs. I got to hang out with their cute little dog too.

We stumbled upon Sea Thru Beach Club while exploring Koh Kood by motorbike, not initially expecting much, it looked closed! To our delight, it was open, and we felt that it was the perfect spot. The setting is simply gorgeous right on Ao Phrao Beach, with comfy seating and beachy atmosphere. We only ordered drinks, but they were good, fresh coconut and lime smoothie, excellent for soaking in the view and relaxing. The service was friendly and attentive, just the right amount of laid-back hospitality. And with such amazing vibes and beautiful surroundings, Sea Thru Beach Club was absolutely the ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the island life. Highly recommend it as a must-visit for anyone riding around Koh Kood, don’t miss this hidden gem!

This is THE BEST BAR on the island!!! The location at Ao Phrao beach is stunning, they provide comfy beach chairs to chill, there is free WiFi and really good music and the food & drink options are out of this world!!! The couple who manages the place, Nicky and Boy, are super-friendly and always ready to go the extra mile. You can even rent a kayak to explore the nearby river or other beaches close by. Getting to the bar is a bit tricky: Follow the road that leads to the beach and then take a left turn on a small grass-road/track where there’s a small sign for the bar = don’t miss it!
